Integrations

The only integration I've ever faced in an actual war that I thought was particularly effective was Groove's Xbow/SF. In your opinions, how much do integrations really help you in wars?

Around here there are few integrations that have worked particularly well. Some of you might remember LordFlasheart's Senor Biggles, which was sloppy in construction but powerful in nature, especially when he loaded a few shorter stefans down the barrel and used it as a flak cannon. I'd say the effective integration is one that the player knows how to use...not just simply point and shoot, it's more than that when you merge two guns into one, I think it turns into a finesse (I really do mean that in the most heterosexual way possible...really). It really depends on what kind of integration it is. I worked the Xbow and SF together because I was tired of worrying about a sidearm, so I just made it part of the main weapon, and it worked out quite well with dealing with multiple distances and letting off a few fast shots.

The guns that you use generally wouldn't need to be integrated with anything anyway. They have good rate of fire, and decent range. The only reason I would really integrate two guns would be to compensate for the low rate of fire of a couple of long-range guns. The main downside for me is that my primary guns (at3k, eab) don't lend themselves particularly well to integration.

And I don't think it's straight.
Wow, that's the understatement of the century.
