I tried to search this on the forums but I couldn't find anything. Do tagger darts (a.k.a. velcro micros) work with other guns such as maverick and NF?

Yes. Though they occasionally jam in Mavericks because they're a bit too long.

...Or you could trim the foam ends of the darts off. But then again, I really don't think its worth it.
By that I mean not cut it off, but cut off a small section.

After you remove the air restrictors there are no problems firing taggers.
