I think this gun is going tosucks. Think about it. It's run by battery(mainly) and gets 5'. I could put a dart in my mouth flick a dart further than the vulcan shoots. Atleast all the other guns like the FF, mav, LS, DTG, stock got into the 20-30's in range. BUT 5'!?

The only other gun I know of that gets 5' stock is the at2k and that's a whole different story because its air powered. But this thing is gonna be a bitch.

But Obviously I'm still going to buy it. The gun looks pretty cool even if you threw 2 magstrike in there and just use the vulcan's shell.

My girlfriend made the observation that, in this video, the darts almost invariably are turned around on the ground, possibly indicating that they had hit something (table, column, leg?) with enough force to cause them to bounce off. This hypothesis gains further evidence in its favor from the initial video of titan being shot, as the darts also bounce off of him. As such, while I doubt this thing will get longshot stock ranges (and, from a stock nerfer's point of view, the longshot is pretty awesome) i'm hoping for at least 20 ft.

Wow what a let down. From the video, the gun looks like it sucks. I was looking forward to trying that gun.

The longshot cocking device is used for the single fire I guess. That is a good way to test the spring. My guess is it is the same spring as the LS, but im not sure.

...and I hate you, 'cuz' your spelling and grammar sucks. His ~100 'vids' are better than your zero. By the way, you don't know what the LS cocking bolt is used for (have you seen real machine guns work) and you can't guess what spring it is since YOU DON'T HAVE THE GUN.

Speculation sucks.

In the video it looks like it sucks, but even Hasbro is not going to make a gun that only shoots 5 feet stock. (I know, the AT2K, but it sometimes shoots 20 feet.) You know, the sucky ranges are probably either from a HUGE, THICK AR, or, there might just be a rod or something that hits the back of the dart. If that's so, I'm just gonna give up on Hasbro. Every gun gets worse, and worse. At least buzzbee has some consistency. But we'll just wait 'till fall then.

It looks like a couple of the darts might have hit the inside of the barrel, a problem that exists with the tommy 20. Even if it looks better with the fake barrel on it, if it endangers functionality, why waste plastic? Ugh.

But, I still have faith in the Vulcan. It's just all the repetitive speculation that gets me. Every time someone speculates about something that's already been mentioned or is just totally blatant already, I die a little inside...

I agree with you Bomberman. I find it hard to believe that one of the most expensive nerf guns ever made (offhand, I only remember the motorized ballzooka fetching this high a price in stores) would have such poor performance.

Yeah they do. They are probably crap, but damn shiny crap.

And I am keeping my fingers crossed. I am really hoping to see a good medium ranged, suppression fire weapon. Who knows, though.

It is also possible that the nerf people put in a weak spring for the expo display model. Just as a courtesy to other people at the expo.

Obviously, they are going to be firing it a lot, and I would think that other people would complain if there were darts flying around all over the place.
