However when i put it back together that way the trigger assembly does not function. Any suggestions?

My guess is that is has something to do with the way the firing pin is alligned inside of the airtank. I could be wrong though. One little piece might not be back in the right place, though. Try opening it back up, take a careful inspection, and hold the pieces in, and work the trigger mechanism. I bet you'll be able to find the problem.

It's not like that. I put lube on it and its the same. Its just stuck. And when I cock it back it goes farther back then usual. Also I push as hard as I can and it wont go back in. I've tried the methods and they wont work. Also pics are up.

Do you need it at all? So I can just toss it in a box? Also if anyone knows what plumbers goop would be called at home depot it would be much appreciated(or should I just ask an employee for plumbers goop?). If everyone couldn't figure out im fixing a broken sm500.

I can't believe you have almost 500 posts and you don't know what plumber's goop is. Plumber's goop is a brand name. Home depot carries it. Just ask someone in the adhesive section, which is in paints.

Down here it's known as "Plumbing Goop." Crazy, right?

Welcome to I-dont-care-isburg, population: me.
We're located in I-Don't-Give-a-Damn County, in scenic Shut-the-Hell-Up-achussets.
Maybe you're familiar with our annual charity drive where we ask for shit, and no one gives any.
