So I bought a Tim Tebow jersey on ebay about 2 weeks ago. I paid via paypal around $50. I haven't heard from the seller and he lives fairly close to me. I have a feeling that he's trying to scam me.

Now I have the paypla receipt and eeverything. Does anyone know what I'm supposed to do to appeal this?

I can give his username and whatnot if needed, It'd be awesome if someone can help me through this.

Thanks!

I'd just contact eBay and see if there is anything that can be done. Or you could tell the guy that if he doesnt contact you by a certain date, you'll file for mail fraud.

Ya I think I'm gonna see if I can contact ebay.

Oh and I forgot to mention, I've emailed him a bunch of times and he hasn't responded.

Yeah, that happened to me once. But mail fraud may give him some incentive to respond, thats what I had to do.

Ok. Since you paid via paypal Ebay will do nothing for you. They will tell you to contest it thru paypal. So you just need to file a dispute thru paypal. Tell them what you have stated here. You paid weeks ago and the seller is not responding. Check your paypal payment details you might have the dudes address there. Myself if Paypal doesn't take care of it would go knocking on his door if he is close enough. Its a lot harder to scam someone standing at your door with a baseball bat then some faceless person on the internet.

One time I paid $51.00 for a rip stick on ebay. After about 3 weeks I asked the guy whats up. He didn't respond so I asked him two more times. After that I reported him to paypal. After another month, the "case" was closed in my favor and I was completekly refunded. Good luck with recovering your item.

This happened to me once. I was new to nerf and new to the whole online-buying scene too. I was waiting for my account to be validated, and there was a crossbow on ebay that I (my mom's account) supposedly won. I had won it for $110. Then after two weeks, and got tired of waiting, I had my mom report him to ebay. Nothing happened. Then I emailed him at least 5 times. No repsonse. So, my noobish self, not knowing to report him to paypal, was out $110. You could imagine, I was pretty pissed off. I wish I had reorted the guy to paypal. Ah well. Too late now.

It's not like that. I put lube on it and its the same. Its just stuck. And when I cock it back it goes farther back then usual. Also I push as hard as I can and it wont go back in. I've tried the methods and they wont work. Also pics are up.

Paypal has $2000 in buyer protection so you're fine.

They can only recover the funds if the money is still in his paypal account. If he has transferred the money out, you are pretty well screwed. I bought a messed up lightsaber a few years ago, and I only got $55 out of $8 because that was all he had in his account, and he refused to send $25 more because he claimed I broke the item.

That is the point where you can sue them for fraud. Well.. for small $$ items its not really worth it. however I would press to paypal that they need to remove the users ablity to use their service or you will take legal action aganst them for knowingly allowing a user to defraud others thru their service.
