I've been thirsting for a new project for a while, so I decided to do a mod to my DTG. The rotation mech is totally broken (and currently lost, too) and I don't like the look of it. I figured I'd do a mod like OfAllTheNerf's Finesse, except without the ten barrel awesomeness. I spent a lot of time sawing and gluing cardboard on, and it became the SA-03 "Heavy Metal" (although maybe it should be "heavy cardboard" due to how much of it I used).

I did mostly use hot glue and I know that's bad, but I did attach the front handle area of the DTG with Gorilla Glue and put all that cardboard on. I also don't use my guns much and practically never war so it should be fine. Oh, and I'll spraypaint it soon (the same way as my SA-02 Pitbull).

EDIT: I did the paintjob today! Unfortunately I didn't have enough silver paint to do the weathering style, so I just went with 2 coats of flat black. I think it turned out pretty well:

I started thinking, and I couldn't think of another way to integrate it other than OfAll's way. Or if you don't like his, you could just do it b00m13's way.

Well, you're kind of stuck since you cut of basically everything. Boom's way is the same way just cleaner, but you could try to do something with more of the handle and some plexiglass/PVC enforcement. Ill elaborate when I get home.

Ok, that wasn't much help but I guess there wasn't much you guys could say anyway. I just decided to attach it in two places (the handles) and do a lot of sawing. I edited it in to the first post, so enjoy!

So you basically did the ls front gun mod if the ls front guns was 3x the size.

What is the best way to go at removing a stump without any power tools? Thanks ahead of time!

What? Singled? Sure, it might be a little more comfy... No maybe not. But honestly You can't be getting more than 60' with that, even singled, and even so it's a perfectly good 10-shot gun to begin with O.o.

Anyways, whatever suits you, and sorry for not ever getting back to this. It does show some ingenuity on the attachment part.

I see. Evidently I need some patience along with readon comprehension skills.

Anyways, sorry for not seeing that. Good job, great since it was broken anyways.

I singled one of mine after I used the turret for a different one and I get at least 70 flat... Of course I added a spring(i think scout)...

Sorry, I was using hyperbole there. I meant to exaggerate the horrible-ocity (new word!) of the LS front gun.

You know, there's something about cardboard that I love on an integration. Most of the time it is to hide the fugly hot glue and crap. And, I'm sorry if it's painfully obvious, but did you single your longshot? It did'nt say in your first post. I'm assuming not on account of the large opening in the barrel. And what material is it?

It's not like that. I put lube on it and its the same. Its just stuck. And when I cock it back it goes farther back then usual. Also I push as hard as I can and it wont go back in. I've tried the methods and they wont work. Also pics are up.

No, I didn't single the Longshot (and yes, it should be painfully obvious because there's a clip and a bolt in there =P). About the barrel, I'm not sure what material it is because it doesn't seem like brass or copper but it does the job perfectly (I just found it at my grandparent's house). That hole in the front was made because I wanted to fit the new barrel in pretty close to the bolt but the little poky thingy that keeps your darts from popping out the top was in the way. Then I realized I could cut it off (don't do that, it increases the chance of a jam) so I turned the barrel around because it had a huge hole that obviously would leak air like mad otherwise. I love cardboard too!
