I am currently in the procces of making a homemade, and i have experimented with shells and extractors with varried succes, but I need to know if a 1/2" sch80 PVC coupler will fit into sch 40 1" PVC, with a fairly nice fit, loose, but not too loose. The I.D. of the 1" PVC is 1.029 approximately.
Im going to look, but does anyone know of any small, strong, commonly available spring?

A 1/2" coupler fits well in thinwall 1" PVC. It does not fit in normal 1". Look for a spring that looks like a NF spring. Ususally called 9713, mine are C-8_ _ something.
For the shells, You could use 1/2"PVC in thinwall 3/4"PVC or 1/2" PVC with couplers in thinwall 1" PVC. Or you could always use brass to fit over/in the 1/2" PVC.

I might have access to a lathe, so I'll be able to thin down anything I need to. I don't want to go out and buy more supplies when i can just use what I already have.
EDIT: Just checked, SDR 21 1" PVC (thin wall/200psi) Is only 2.25 a foot. Guess I'll get some.

Are you sure it's not 2.25 for 10 feet? It is really cheap at Home Depot.I might have access to a lathe, so I'll be able to thin down anything I need to. I don't want to go out and buy more supplies when i can just use what I already have.
