So I was at the local Meijer (it's like a Wal-Mart just less the evil policy part) and by the nerf guns was a bunch of cheap, generic ammo that looked to be the same diameter of mega darts.

I was curious so I bought some and I am fairly impressesed.

Compared to regular megas the foam is slightly larger, which provides a nice snug fit into unmodded mega dart guns. The darts are constructed from a yellow foam but do not have holed drilled in the back.
The total length is 3 inches.
At the tip is a dense black foam which makes them very safe for indoor wars and shooting someone point blank.
I also disected one to see if they flew without the tip and instead found that under the black foam lies a yellow plastic bead, almost like they wanted to give them some weight.

I found they shoot better than regualr megas adding 5-10 feet and shoot dead on. The range is nothing like a stefan or other style home made, due most likely to the large dimeter. I haven't gotten around to it yet but I want to try replacing the yellow bead with a metal weight in the future, as the design is like a safe version of the stefan dart.

Has anyone else seen them? If so what are your impressions.

Also, this is a side note:
I see that J here is up to 20 odd posts in like 3 days, but after reading through his posts I have to say that most of them are not only justified, but also quasi-intelligent (for this place at least... fuck you all). I know he claims to be from NO or whatever, but that doesn't count for Jack-shit in my book. Most of the people from NO were worthless. If you just took offense to that than you are probably one of said such persons.

Some newbs might want to keep on eye on this guy and take notes on what he's doing. Others, like Sylent, should just have their accounts deleted and FUCKING FINGERS CUT OFF.

I was going to end that last sentence with an exclamation mark... but decided no to... suckas.

Yeah, every once in a while we get a newbie who acts like a vet from the start. Seems to have a lot to do with age usually.

Anyway I've seen bigger ammo refills on the internet. The looked a little bit like Ultimator missiles, i was going to buy them, but i thought id rather have the 10$.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Famine it's always nice to get a endorsement from a Horseman. As for my NO days I either went as just Cobbers or El Cobbers (I think) after a major forum rehaul that wiped my account.

As I said before I don't have a digital camera, nor do any of my room mates. If I can get access to one I'll try to have pics up of not only these darts but also my guns. I recently discoved that Sacapuntas Cabesa lives in the same town as I do, so something may come from that.

Yah, I've used those in my SSI, because the wholes in the back are bigger, so they work like SS darts.
