It is almost summer again and unfortunately the Bay Area still has not had a major war. I am not in a good position to host a war. So I am proposing we figure out rules, date and a place together. Please post with your ideas.

Well, I know me and pwnchu are in the bay area. We usually have our group that host wars. One time we had 50+ people at an indoor war. So if you can't organize one, you have a few choices, either wait for someone to start one, make one yourself, or get a few friends to play with you.

San Mateo here. I doubt I could host anything.. but I'm content without having a major one, as at least 10 of my friends will nerf with me regularly.

B-town baby!

(Berkeley)

I don't have too many good places around me, but I'm sure there must be some good schools and such around you guys.
I doubt we could get a "major" war started, but I'd be happy with just a couple people.

Palo alto reporting in, I could easily assemble 5-10 friends for a war. There are some local schools that could work:

Mitchell Park / JLS Middle School

Note the gridlike layout of the classrooms which is highly conducive of close quarters combat, and the nearby park (which by the way is totally full of grass now, the construction is done).

Gunn High School

The school is an awesome place for CTF games, and there is a lot of grassy field area to the north, with huge piles of dirt from recent construction (probably still be there this summer).

I'm down with any war that allows mods and homemades, as long as the only ammo is stock darts or stefans.

Antioch here we can bring our own stuff to Dallas Ranch Middle School and have a big Long range battle
battle other than that I can't host anything else and only 1 friend will probaly be coming to it

That park does look quite cool, Catgod, but I doubt that I and us other north bay people could make it down to Palo Alto.

Maybe we should find a "midpoint" that all of us can access.

If you accidentally clock somebody with a doubleshot, then you're more liable to break the doubleshot than you are to cause serious injury.

We could hold one in Palo Alto, and one in Berkeley, or something. What days of the summer are people going to be available?

Cool! I can get to Palo Alto. I'm open from June to July. I've never been in a war before, and I'm anxious to go to one. What are chances of this happening?

Seeing how all the other Bay Area nerf wars have bombed in the planning phase, I don't have too much faith in this one.

Still, I'd be available pretty much every day of the summer, But I would prefer something like late June, perhaps.

The Mitchell Park / JLS Middle School sounds good, and I think 12:00 P.M. sounds like a normal time to be nerfing. I'm not sure about the date, and I have no experience on organizing a nerf war Anyway, Catgod, are you going to be doing the planning?

I think we may do one at Gunn and one at JLS/Mitchell this summer. Me and my friends will organize the event, most likely. Stand by for more details, including rules, times, etc. If anyone has any suggestions, specifically what time during the summer to hold the war, please don't hold back.

I have year-round school schedule, so I think somewhere in the first week of July is good.
