.... Does Metal Gear Rex count as a weapon?
As much as a tank can count as a weapon. But I think the original goal was to discuss man-portable toys.
Spreader gun from the contra series.
Contra. I love Contra. Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A B A Select Start. 30 lives of side scrolling goodness. I still play that on an old NES once in a while.

I prefer the chaingun in HA3 there. It rips through huge helis in a matter of seconds.
I pity the fool who attempts to use a single-shot blaster against me.

It has the range to eat shit people from a good distance away, but, if used correctly, it's arguably the best middle-range weapon ever. I've pissed countless people off when they charge me with two SMG's and get totally owned with a few bursts to the nose from a battle rifle.

But my all time favourite would have to be Goemon's mech from "Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon". I mean it's a robot... With an afro!

Megaman's arm changes into so many things, you might as well just say his arm.
My list of awesome weapons.
.hack//G.U.
- Haseo's chainsaw scythe of death
Why it's awesome is obvious.
- Twilight Bracelet
Oh yeah, I want a bracelet that can reset a person's character! To change from level 133 to level 1 would be irritating.
Vendetta-Online
-Avalon torpedo launcher - Nukes!
With a Ragnarok, (Heavy bomber ship) you can load three of these. I'm not sure, but I think each launcher could hold four nukes at once. However, because the frigate was removed, there was nothing to use it on except for the station in the secotr we always had wars in, so it was removed.
-Frigate turrets - Advanced, advanced gattling turrets
Man, it was so fun fighting against the Frigate. The capship had 23 energy gattling turrets, and two or three hits from these takes out most fighters. It is so satisfying to take a cheap, crappy ship, roll and strafe around all of the energy bolts flying at you, and land safely on the nose of the giant capital ship. =)
Gunbound
-Kalsidon(sp?)
Not sure if this counts. It's a small one person tank type thing that allows you to rain missiles on your enemies. To do so, move it to a nice curved piece of land so your gun if at a 70-140 degree angle, and shoot a giant missile up. That splits up into lots of smaller ones, and BANG!
-Kanashimi
Oops, nearly forgot, the Nitefinder! Nerf DS

The m41a pulse rifle from the alien series.
I mean who doesn't love a 99 rd magazine, its shoots on 3 burst, and it has a shotgun grenade launcher!!!

Insert big pic here
You also have to remember that the pulse rifle was built around the Thompson M1A1, also known as: the greatest hand-held automatic weapon ever produced.

Holy Shit you are right.... Awesome.
I like prop movie weapons because they are prettied up versions of the real guns.
Anyway, more VG weapons. Um.... The Phys Gun from Garry's mod and the Grav Gun from HL2, Source Forts and Garry's Mod. (Actually, the original design for the Grav gun in source forts is awesome looking)

A sawtooth, Some long shot parts, plexiglass and alot of epoxy putty and this can be recreated.
Will it fire? Maybe, Will it fire like it does in the movie but for Nerf? Probably not.
I don't feel the way I used to do.

And my favorite weapon would have to be the handgranade from gow, I mean running up to some random locust and smashing them in the face with a grenade with a chain on it how cool isn't that?
