I found that my big blast unplugged took 7-8 pumps. Plugged it takes 20.

You might also want to put a warning there of how the trigger breaks after its been fired about 50 times when plugged.

I got 8-10 unplugged, 20-40 plugged. When I pumped it almost 40 times, I shot it and it hit 168'. Unplugged it got about 90 feet.

I can get 7 pumps with my plugged 3k. It shoots like a beast and it's hard to pull the trigger like that. I don't want to go past seven pumps, because the air tank will probably explode. As it is, the air pressure actually blew a hole in the goo tube membrane while it was in the gun, so it leaked into the air tank. Now when I fire, there's blue goo drops in the barrel afterwards.

If you've got ranges for plugged/ unplugged and the number of pumps, PM ME. You can post edits for me to make in the forum.

I think that this could be a useful resource, but there is an inherent flaw in it. The number of pumps, as already proven here, is subjective. It can only be based on a simple mod yet it can vary from gun to gun. There seems to be no exact number. If a gun has a slow leak that the user can't detect, his gun may get more pumps. Some guns may get more or less pumps solely from how they were constructed at the factory. There is no way to absolutely say that X gun needs Y number of pumps and gets Z feet in distance.

On the subject of distance, that is another problem alltogether. First off, as we have all seen, everyone measures distance differently, though it is a well known fact that distance is best measured with a level shot. You leave it open to inconsistencies when pooling people for their ranges as they may either misjudge them, measure it by eyeballing it or walking it out instead of using a tape measure, shoot at an angle, or even lie about them (but no one lies about ranges...bullshit). Secondly, ranges can be different based on the modification process for each gun, making anything on this list inaccurate. Third, the dart used plays a factor. It would be best, if you are still persuing this project and wish to avoid turning it into a major flame war when people contest ranges, leave ranges off the list. Too many variables to get an accurate range.

I feel that this idea has merit, but there are way too many things that could throw off an "absolute" number of pumps per gun.

Badger, believe me, I appreciate the comment. I will leave out ranges. I am not going for an absolute number of pumps, simply an average, so someone doesn't blow an airtank.

I'm with Badger on this one, someones gun may take far more pumps than someone else's, and that could be dangerous. I'd change the purpose to giving a know "safe" and typically useful pump number (in other words, if you could pump a BBBB to 50, that would be powerful, but would take far too long, hence 30 or twenty would be good).

You need a disclaimer, just in case someone decides to pump it just under your pumping guidelines and it explodes and sends shrapnel into their eyes.

I'm pretty sure it wont do that, considering the tank is nearly always inside the gun.

A lot of people take guns out of the casing to mod them, and sometime they pump them too, also, many guns like the At2k are left exposed for integs, while guns like BBBBs are sometimes used by themselves without the casing. Really it is just good sense, and under the right conditions, a gun exploding in casing could mean trouble.
