And if you were thinking about plugging the pump don't bother. The gun will get 80' ranges with good barrels and darts anyway and anything more is overkill.

If you're just going to put micro firing barrels on the gun and don't plan on adding couplers you can just chop the tips off the stock barrels and put whatever new barrels you want inside them with a bit of e-tape if they're loose.
If you are going to add couplers you want to chop off all but the last 3/4" or so from the barrels with a hacksaw or Dremel, wrap them in e-tape until the couplers fit on them and then glue the couplers on. There's really no point to doing that though since the gun has 4 shots and would be even more of a pain in the ass to reload with couplers than a simple ramrod setup, so I recommend cutting off the last bit of the barrels and putting new ones inside them.
Where do I keep a long enough rod to ram the darts in? With couplers I don't have to carry any other tools.

Wasn't intending to, or else I would've already done it..
Anyways, I guess I'll just hacksaw them until there's 3/4ths of the old barrel left.

It shouldn't require anything longer than 8", and that can be carried in a pocket or something. I use a ramrod (pen) with my 2k, it's not hard to find space for it.
And it's going to be much more inconvenient to have to carry around extra barrels or take off the barrels and reload them one at a time. With a ramrod you can just stick a dart in the end of each and push them down in a few seconds. But do what you want, you can always change it later if you don't like it.
