Sportsman Shooting Toys Shotgun

This is the item I will be reviewing.
I cannot beleive they had a computer generated image to sell this item. Here is a real photo.
Posted Image

I will admit the side loading thing is pretty cool. You slide down the button to pop open the dart chamber.

Posted Image
Posted Image

If you look inside you can see it has a peg and a typical AR similar to a NF,Mav etc.

Posted Image

It comes with 6 darts three are suction and the other three are velcro. It shoots around 20 feet stock. As far as modding potential goes...

Well the plunger stroke is only a couple inches.
Posted Image
Posted Image

Ha! What a piece of shit. As I was measuring the priming distance the thing snapped in half!
Posted Image

Finally, I saved the best for last. This thing only has two screws holding it together. And of course they are in the pump handle.
Posted Image

I had such high hopes for this gun thinking it would be on the same line as the ERTL guns.
What a peice of shit! I did not take any internal photos of this gun because it has one of two different fates.
I promise you that both will be entertaining. Worst $60 I ever spent. The best way for me to describe this gun is a really big dollar store gun. If you have $60 to spend on a Nerf gun you can buy any of the best guns that are still sold in stores. DO NOT BUY THIS GUN! That is all.

Well that's hugely dissappointing. Nothing about that gun looks like it's worth $40. What a rip.

You didn't take it apart, so go and get a refund. That's what I would do. Why the hell is it 60 bucks?

I seen a movie about that once.

I'd call them up and ream their asses for selling such a piece of crap if I were you. Maybe you can get a refund or at least credit toward something else.

I'm surprised no one is telling you to go ahead and try to mod it, because it "looks so real".

Kids nowadays, want everything to look like "real guns".

Then again, you can hack off the long fake barrel, epoxy a pistol grip on that.... even with the short plunger travel...

...or, you can take it back. Tell them like it is... it "broked". Thanks for the heads-up review. I'll stay with Nerf and Lanard brands.

I had $90, and I was thinking about getting this and a Pump Shotgun, but I'll just get the shotgun then. Thanks for the heads up. Man, that's a piece of shit. For anyone who wants a gun that is side loading, get the Mustang six from buzzbee, and make a couple visual mods. I love the Mustang with the gay horn thing taken off. Plus, it gets about 40 feet completely stock. (that is angled at about 40 degrees).

It's not like that. I put lube on it and its the same. Its just stuck. And when I cock it back it goes farther back then usual. Also I push as hard as I can and it wont go back in. I've tried the methods and they wont work. Also pics are up.

That sucks. To everyone saying he should take it back: I'm fairly certain that he ordered it off the internet, so it would probably be a lot of trouble to take it back.

I checked one of these out in the store about a month ago. The only thing that I noticed that Angel didn't mention was that it's pretty comfy....It's almost as big (though not as heavy, of course) as a real shotgun.

Also, the one I tried out didn't break; perhaps Angel just doesn't know his own strength?

Seems to be a common problem. I was reading the online reviews for this gun (forget what site) and several people mentioned that the stock snapped off on them.

You could probably epoxy it back on. But I reccomend testing the site's return policy.

Well damn. That sounds like a terrible gun. I guess whoever made it decided they could charge 60 bucks for the thing because it looks real and has "sportsman" in the name, making it sound professional. That way, people might want to buy it more, but it's worse than a nerf gun in reality. Return it, for sure. But before you do, make sure you fart on it first.

It was $60 including shipping to Canada.

I don't plan on returning it.

Too much work and I still get diddled on shipping.

Although it looks real it feels like crap. The thing felt just a bit sturdier than a Recon stock untill it snapped.

Compared to a NF plunger.

This gun will need a lot of super glue at the seams to be put back together.
