I think the addition of a troubleshooting section of the forum would help to unclutter the modifications section a lot. There are so many threads in mods that you think might be an actual mod but it is just someone asking for help on a mod or trying to fix something.

I think that we should put more emphasis on searching. 98% of the time, when someone post a thread like that, they haven't searched for the thread that already has the answer to their question. Apparently, someone tried to start a similar thread to this awhile ago.

I don't have a problem with sifting through threads in the mods section to see which ones are worth reading; besides, if someone has a problem with a gun that I can help them with I'll usually make an attempt to post some useful info. A troubleshooting forum isn't needed, it would only lead to more threads in the wrong place and more people yelling at new members.
