I've got an xbow shell thats got a major hole in the front. The whole front end is basically gone. I was just wondering what i should do to repair it. I can get a pic if needed.ID like to use the original xbow internals too.

Thanks.

Holy fuck...what happened to that thing? Looks like it's been used a baseball bat...or something like that. Will the internals still fit inside of the gun and work?

Holy crap, where did you get that gun and what sort of terrible pagan practices were unleashed upon the poor Crossbow? :o

[edit: Rags beat me to it. P.S. that pic cannot be hotlinked, you have to copy and paste the URL into your browser, I think.]

Wow, that looks alot like my old crossbow, after I took it apart.

Depending on what you're planning on doing...the way I see it, you could revive it in a number of ways. First off:

Question: Do you still have the original innards? Plunger, plunger shaft, etc?

If you're planning on sticking something down in that gaping hole, then I'd suggest holstering a TT or an LnL, or perhaps even an air gun like an SM1500 or AT2k. I wouldn't try an integration at this point, there's nothing left to really case the innards of a gun whatsoever unless you really want to get creative, maybe with some metal bracing and what-not. I've always wanted to integrate a brassed blastfire around the main barrel of a Xbow, but that'd require alot of engineering on one's part. Just some ideas. Good luck, and may the force be with you.

Is this the "Thread of the Edits"? Look, almost everyone ended up editing thier post. And IS, if the gun itself still works, all you have to do is cover that up with something. Now, if something inside that is important is missing, like one of the obviously huge chunks of plastic, yer gonna hafta really get creative.

No, I disagree. Only pagans (or Jews) would destroy the image of the Cross[bow] like that.

Was there an integrated gun up there or why did it break like that?

Hope that helps, Janga. The sound of a gun breaking must have been pretty bad...

Bwahaha, I get it now. Clever. I don't think Pagans or Jews would "destroy" a cross like that. Pagans have nothing against Christianity, and Jews certainly aren't anti-christian either. I'd go more along the lines of Satanist.

Oh yeah, and in terms of fixing it...

Groove's got the right idea, if you don't feel like doing that, you could patch things up with some cardboard reinforced with coathanger or heavy wire. File down the rough edges and a wireframe/cardboard patch would actually fit quite nicely. Maybe leave holes in the cardboard and put ammo holders in there since you've got a hole in the gun already, might as well make the most of it.

Nah, see now - now you're supposed to edit your post once or twice, like everyone else in the thread.

We can keep it up...maybe someone will not notice...

On a side note, tell us how it goes, IS. Fixing that is gonna take some patience.

Clay? CLAY? Clay? Clay. You're serious? Wait just a minizzle, this is the Twenty-first century, B - we gots mo' shizzle fo' yo' fizzle, bizzle.

I can tell you right now clay is going to seriously ruin your Crossbow, or any hopes of you ever retaining some form of structural integrity in repairs...sheesh man, I think I hear the Mesopotamian civilization calling, they want their primary building substance back. Use metal. Please. Or some form of 20th-21st Century technology such as epoxy, hot glue - shit, even Duck Tape would work. Clay...shit man, that's like, wow.

Try paper-mashay (I think that is spelled right). You can use chicken wire for strength, then rap it in the paper-mashay. Glue or tape it in place and there you go.
