MNNO was an awesome war. I'm sure that most of the people that attended it had a great time. Please post any pictures or videos in this thread, as well as your own thoughts on the war. I will have the video up in a few days. Here are my ups and downs, I will probably update this list later.

Ups
-Meeting a lot of new people
-The weather turning out to be quite nice
-Having a pretty good turnout
-Getting to test out a lot of new things
-Fighting along side Messiah in his final war (at least for 2 years)
-Not getting owned very much, mostly due to the fact that everyone (except Flaming Hilt) is quite new
-Attracting a lot of attention with my Pump-Shotgun
-Seeing Messiah get shot in the balls, cry out in pain, and catching it all on film
-Finally getting to be at the top of the tower in the tower rounds
-Not having all my dart's tips shatter (because I put foam on the tip)

Downs
-Shooting myself in the face with a DTG that I didn't know was cocked
-Getting shot in the chin by Nerfcrazy's X-bow
-People calling me Aaron and Eric (not my name, and my real name doesn't sound like those either )
-Whacking Goose Island in the balls with my pool noodle (it was funny though)
-The fist contingent of people not coming until like 10:40, when I said that the war was starting at 10:00
-Constantly forgetting peoples real names and calling them by their forum names
-Messiah breaking my big blast trigger in a spot that had previously been broken
-My darts not fitting very well in my barrels (but they still shot out of my more versatile guns decently)
-The playground being taken over by kids the whole day
-This stupid kid Messiah brought with him, who I think was about my age but looked and acted more like he was 8 years old.

Okay, vets... you missed out. This was one of the better MN wars -- mostly because of the new location we found. Which I took 4 pictures of to panorama together, but I have to go soon.

Unfortunately I was the only one taking pictures and I only got 17 good ones, so this'll have to suffice until the video is up.

I don't know what this is called, but I'll go with "The Beast" for now. My vote for most feared gun -- and because of performance, not looks. Kudos, Julian:

Why it was awesome:
Because god, nobody cared about what was "cool" and what would work. You guys spent a half hour building that fort and yea, it blocked a few shots, but you had fun doing it. *shrug.*

Crawling around a tree while two opponents walked around the other side and didn't see me.

Climbing up the slide and getting 8 hits with my maverick, while only getting shot twice myself. Then when defending, falling down it to get someone trying to follow in my footsteps.

The last round, dodge ball, was insane. I have to say, I think it's better with fewer people and a tiny course (we played inside the pagoda).

Mmk. Time to go. More later? Wait and see...
Or I could just check out for another 2 months 'till NO SPAM.

UBER HIGHLIGHT! getting simultaneous praise of my LongShot from not only Hilt, but Crazy aswell. And if Messiahs little brother knew what he was talking about, the comment about being a nerf god might a been a little more meaningfull (even though it still woulda been dismissed. I am not worthy Forsaken Angel. Please don't strike me down)


Woah. You got the Messiah Nutshot on film? way to go Venom. I laughed so hard.

My personal highs
-Only going home with one welt.
-Having my Longshot idolized by people
-Watching Aunders ride his bike to take our flag (not cool, but funny)
-Watching Hilt own people with his pistols. You only used pistols didn't your Hilt?
-Watching the Messiah Nutshot play out and him exclaiming "Ow you hit my DICK!"
-The Tower game
-Hilt winning the first Tower match by climbing the slide
-Seeing what can be done with Mavericks. Messiah with his easy drop clip and Hilt with his insanely good maverick. Kudos to you

Lows
-Having to stop the tower game because of a kid who wanted to use the slide
-Hearing the darts ricochet and shatter in the tower
-Having to yell at the little kid to stop shooting
-The long time it took for the BK runners to come back with my fries

Either way, it was one kick ass war, I will be at the next one for sure, and next time, expect something more spectacular by way of LongShot pwnage. Possibly involving any number of autos and maybe another Titan

My official name for my Longshot was "Santa's little helper" because of the red/green paint scheme. But anyway, thanks for the compliment Hilt. It was fun to make and it did work well for its needs.
And damn. Another dodgeball round after i left? damn. That woulda been fun. And your slide climbing was awesome.

Not having giant puddles and steppign in them and sitting out for 1.5 hours because of my feet freezing(MNSBW)

Downs
Someone breaking my Max shot
Someone losing my mav turret
The kid Messiah brought with being annoying
This being Messiah's last war for a while
Only getting 2 tower rounds in because of little kids
Frequently having darts that wouldn't shoot well
Not seeing Goose Island getting hit in the balls (his reaction is always funny)
No one went after me except Flaming Hilt
Feeling sick after eating a lot
Having a picnic table fall over on me and my friend barrel tapping me because of being pinned
The wind blowing things off of tables
People taking so long to get BK back to us
A lot of people leaving at 4:00
Not having as many stefans at this war

Well, thanks alot guys. That war re-kindled my modding spirit. I got home and right away took apart my Longshot (yes, I know, scary huh?) and am already on the way to making it ten times better (neater, tighter, faster, stronger) and made myself two drop clips for my maverick, which thanks to Messiah, I found pretty easy. I will tackle for nite finders over my up coming break and hopefully get a revamped LongShot out for next war. Maybe some spidey dart tag guns.

Is this new location off to the far side and down a hill? I've always thought about trying that spot but never seem to remember it. Also, whats so special about this Longshot, it just looks like a Longhsot with a Titan glued to the bottom.

Yeah it's down that hill. It's sort of in the middle of the woods. The longshot is special in addition to what you mentioned because, it has a sweet paint job, it's ability to shoot arrows, and it is very functional.

I just woke up after sleeping for 12 hours. I didn't think that I was that tired.

I know what you mean Venom. I got home, showered, napped, slept, napped again, stayed up till midnight modding because I got an extreme high from it (like the kind of high you get from working out, sorry, no pot fueled nite finder mods) and then I went too sleep and am finally up and about with the intention of getting my LongShot back together and working beter.

So you think it was the arrows that did it? As cool as they are, its hard to hit people with em, but you do get a satisfying scream when you hear the loud THUDD followed by the "What was that and what was it fired from?" because of the sound.

And I have been shot with it before, and I would say that normal dart firing guns hurt more because they fire smaller projectiles.

Anyway, Venom, you got the videos up yet? I can't wait to see what PWNAGE you got on film.

No not yet. I need to get Messiah's footage. But I could edit just my footage and put that online. Then make a seperate "best of" messiah's footage.

How much did Messiah actaully film with his gun mounted camera? I think that will make some cool FP videos. Wonder if he filmed the Tower siege with it.

Not quite sure, I guess I will find out when he sends me the footage. That tower round was insane, it would be great if he did get it on camera.

Okay listen to this. So at the war I was talking about my pumpshot gun and how it was between that and a BBB, because they are the same price. So I was just at goodwill and guess what I found, a BBB, one arrow, and in pretty good quality all for $3. Can you say ca-ching!

But another note about my pumpshot-gun, as I was being asked many questions about it. There is definitely room for improvement on it. I just got mine like 6 days before the war, so I did some basic mods fast, so that it would be somewhat usable. If you ever find one, I would recommend that you buy it.

Google video? Doesn't that accpe file sizes bigger then youtube? or possibly you could contact someone on this board who has an older youtube account and see if they wouldn't mind hosting it.
