Ok.
When cutting off the bipod area of the Longshot, how do you not fuck up the dart tooth?
Sorry if this has been answered before, or if I'm just not getting something, but as far as I can tell, the dart tooth is left exposed.
Any info about this?

Open up the longshot and pull out the internals and then start cutting the body of the gun. Fix any mistakes with sandpaper and epoxy putty or plumner's goop.

Don't worry so much about what other people will allow. Throw your own wars and kick your friends' asses until they all want one.

You don't cut off the entire bipod area if you want to keep the dart tooth; you just take the bipod off and follow the natural line of the gun from the front-end of the gun; you end up sawing that weird looking thing approximately in half.

Similar to what the first picture in this thread looks like.

I'm mounting something underneath the gun, so I want it to look similar to this.

But I guess what I really want is a front shot of that.

Alright!
Thanks Jedijoe.
I'll post the finished product later this week.
Until then, this topic is done.

if you're intergrating another gun into it and you do it cleanly it will cover the dart tooth back up when the panels of the new gun get put on. YMMV

Well it won't be the front gun, so it won't be covered completely.

He means that depending on the gun and your modding skill and experience, you can integrate a gun which has enough empty body in the back to cover the leftover bits necessary to keep the dart tooth on.

What are you integrating, anyways?

Hmmm. That sounds interesting. A LS with a NF integration. The wackiest integration to a LS that I have ever seen was my own (switch shots max). Never got around to posting a pic. Too bad.
Good luck, I would love to see a pic when you are done.

How are you gonna do it sputnik? When you cock that thing it'll stick out too far anywhere you cut it. Unless you are going to put it upside and off the front end...

Good luck with the intergration at anyrate.

Yeah, mystefansdontflystraight, I'm basing it on The Guru.....ish.
I love the idea of a primary and a powerful secondary in the same gun.
But, it looks like another gun will have to do.
The Nf isn't gonna fit right.

Galaxy-Not completely sure yet, read my response to MSDFS.

Hm, no need to give up quite yet. You could cut off the handle of the NF, and mount it upside down. Run a wire from the trigger to a secondary trigger by the LS trigger. Then, you could use epoxy putty to put a half-section of PVC on the top (now bottom) of the NF, and use part of a coupler to create a "pump" for the NF, which would prime the NF.

I have both a LS and a NF right in front of me, so I think it's do-able, although it'll involve alot of cutting/hacking/epoxy-ing.

Hmm.
I see what you mean ompa.

I'll keep that in mind.
Unfortunately, I am still away at college, and I have no access to the proper tools to do so.....not yet at least.
I'll be working on it more after next week.

Finals suck hard.

Personally, Keep the stock NF Cocking rod, and mount it, based on the size of the one i have here, that SHOULD put it just under the trigger area with a little finesse & Swearing, then just keyring trigger it or similar

*edit* Would work better with a pair of NF's side-by-side rather than one, since you're using the stock clips, the cocking rods go perfectly past the clip then

Damn Devious, you spoke my mind.

I just thought about that, and will probably do that as soon as I obtain 2 same color NF's

Actually, mounting them on either side of the barrel would work best I think.

If you mount them on whats left of the bipod using the slide-rails instead of cutting the bipod piece off, it would work better IMO

My own longshot tempts me with far more..."Devious" things, i've got a couple maxshots laying around with the handle pieces cracked, so i'm tempted to do something like you are with NFs with a pair of Maxshots

Considering my main gun and front gun are both rebarreled and they dont come apart, i could just play off the reinforcing i already did to mount them to the sides and rig up a couple Keychain triggers or something to them

2 100' shots, 6 90' shots, and a 50' shot, all without reloading *pondering*....

I'll be back later to see how you get along

YMMV Meaning depending on the gun you're integrating it may cover more or less then you'd like. If it doesn't totally cover the spot I'd add some thin acrylic panels to cover what ever is left exposed. For example my LS/mav integration. Acrylic panels made it easier to cover the dart tooth and not look like a total hack.

Edit. Min.Tee beat me to it.

Maybe I'll put the Nf's on either side....
Nothing left underneath though.

When you put the front gun on, you'll have a flat expanse there

So you can put the NF's there with some cut Cpvc and epoxy, and run the triggers near the main LS one

Would work fairly well since you have the cocking rods Cut down

*edit* would work best if you have the front gun cut down, i'll assume you do

The LSFG is not cut yet, its not with me here.
There is not enough clearance without a spacer for 2 Nf's to fit underneath.
Also, I am seeing if there is a way to utilize the FG to cock the main gun.
It will be tricky, but I really want to do it.

I meant to the sides of it with the trigger grips previous location angled in

With some crafty finesse, you could make a version of the "Shotgun Pump" mod using the front gun slider and some Plastic sheeting

So instead of adding a pump, you use the existing one, and the NF's would cock up by the jam clearing door

Would look something like: \\[:]// from the front, kinda wide but intimidating when you're facing it

Really all depends on how much you want to minimise the NF's

Sorry for hijacking the thread, but can someone tell me about how long the underside of the LS is when you whack off the bipod?

Sounds good, but I'd put two under there and run two wires/keyrings to that spot right in front of the trigger.

The LS really seems to be turning into the CB when it comes to integrations.
