I am ashamed. I have an unquenchable need to locate and purchase old Kool-Aid packets. I didn't want to clutter the Trading forum with my shit, so I figured that Off-Topic would be a more suitable place for this. First off, I am looking for any older packets of Kool-Aid that you fine people may possess. Also, if any of you guys have a flavor called "Sharkleberry Fin" in your local grocery store, please shoot me a P.M. (Don't be scared, I don't bite... often). To keep this topic from sucking any harder than it already does, let's discuss our favorite Kool-Aid flavors... or something. If you have anything to say about Kool-aid, say it here!

I've never really liked kool-aid that much, I prefer crystal light, but I like the lemonade and cherry flavors. With kool-aid it always seems like there is either too much or too little sugar.

Wait... make money off you? No... I'm buying them from you! Sorry if I was confusing. It happens.

*Edit: If anyone wants to know how this perverse facination began, it's all this man's fault: http://www.x-enterta...t.com/kool-aid/

**Double edit: x-entertainment is a great site for any children of the 80's and 90's who pine for the "Good 'ol Days". Well, atleast I think so. Having never been through the 80's myself, I'm just hypothesizing when I say this.

EDIT: I'm not saying I don't love that over-sugar doused crap, of course I do. I just can't image me buying it on the internet.

Neither do I. I think it's because when I was about two or three, my parents went batshit insane when the local Publix had Kool-Aid packets on sale for five cents each and bought like 500 of them or something like that. It was pretty much my staple drink through my formative years. Hence my deep-seated love for the stuff.
TL;DR- I'm wierd.

Great Bluedini for the win! At my cousins' house, there was an abundance of two things: Nerf blasters and Great Bluedini Kool-Aid. Maybe that's why I turned out this way? Maybe I'm just a shaken baby or something.

Yeah, I remember that in middle school, if a kid got a Capri Sun packed in his lunch, he could trade it away for like half of another kid's lunch. But one important point guys, its not like this is my fucking hobby or anything. I just figured I'd get some interesting discussion going on a forum where everyone plays with children's toys.

Wait...so do you want the Kool-aid packets with the Kool-aid inside? I don't have any, just wondering.

I actually found some vintage jell-o mix in my cabinet. VINTAGE jell-o mix. It was like 10 years old, mandarin orange flavored, I think. I didn't really like the idea of making it and eating it, so I threw it out. It was hella weird though, guess nobody wanted it so it just sat.

Yep. Kool-Aid has the distinguishing charateristic of never going bad. Matt (the guy from the link I posted) mixed up and consumed a 40 year old package of raspberry Kool-Aid and didn't feel any adverse effects, besides a funny aftertaste.
* In answer to why I want these- first and foremost, the delicious beverege hidden deep within the bowels of the package. Secondly, so I can cleanly slice the back of the package, and use them for some sort of bizzare pop-art type thing that's in the prototype stages (Read: pipe dream).

Absolutely, without extra, it's just not the same.

Um.. He said Kool-Aid never goes bad. Plus, it's powder, so I really don't think it will be stale. You mix it with water, after all.

Funny you should mention the Blackberry flavor... that's the only Kool-Aid that I most certainly have a lifetime supply of, and then some (5 boxes of 72 packets each). I'd love to send a couple packets your way, just 'cause you're so fly. We're never too old for blackberry Kool-Aid!

Ugh...the very thought makes me ill. I've always made it with half sugar.

I never really had much Kool-Aid growing up, and then it was all just the "normal" flavors...it was rare enough that I don't recall having a favorite. I made up for that during college, mainly because it was something cheap. Great Bluedini and Purplesaurus Rex, man. Of course, if I was really going on the cheap, I'd just buy Wyler's.

It's been years since I've bought any, mainly because of connections with poor college student diet. Maybe I should try it again, get some for my daughter....hmm....

I usually make the gatorade version of kool aid, just because my grandma bought me a monstrous tub of it. It is funny for Carbon to mention the poor college kid diet. When I am in class, I go into this mode where I can eat barely anything, and I don't get hungry. When I am not in class, though, I go into eating mode, and I constantly eat. During my summer job, I figured it up, and I ate about 8000 calories a day. 5000 in snacks during work and another 2000-3000 in real food. I lost like 10 pounds on the 8000 calorie a day diet B)

"kool-aid singles" are small individual packets advertised for putting in water bottles. It's still too sugary, though.

I used to do double-batch KoolAid. But that was a bit much. I do put in 1-1/4 cups of sugar most of the time though.
