If anyone here owns the Nerf Disk Shot system, they know the motor runs very loudly. Is there any way to dampen the noise? It's almost as loud as my drill press

yeah. don't use it. lol.
I guess if you could encase the motor with something or possibly line the thing with mastic (dynamat) you might be able to cut down on the noise the motor makes. You can get High Temp Mastic on the cheap from Mcmaster.
Personally after using it once I put it away and it has collected dust. Just like my tech target board.

The tried and true method for silencing has been using FBR in empty spaces.
Columbus' original crazy asshole now comes with:

Dynamat +1 Best Buy has 2 10x10 in. sheet for $25. Silenced my AEG by a LOT.
