Possibly one of the most underrated guns out there. So here's what you do:

First, open it up. Take out the stock barrel and leave only the green nub.


Now, take about 3.5" of 1/2" SCH 40 PVC and glue it on.


Then, go ahead and wrap some e-tape around the plunger head. Be sure to lube it before putting it back in the plunger tube.


You'll need to use the dremel on each side of the gun so the barrel fits.


Now put it all back together and make sure it's all in place.


Very light banding and the finished product:


You can expect ranges of low to mid 60's. Also, replacing the spring with one from a Sharpshooter II is said to increase range. I'm still looking for one so if anyone has one they can part with, send me a PM.

It's funny, I just opened mine up a few minutes ago to do some minor mods (keeping the stock ammo and just improving seals and stuff), and then I find this writeup. Although I'm going to stick with my plan, nice job on the mod.
Maybe it's just me, but I think DT3 pistols are like, the coolest-looking pistols ever.

Only my third favorite, sorry. I believe this is the second official DT3 mod ever. I can't wait until I'm finally done with some of my sales so I can buy it from Ryan.

Nice mod. I am pretty sure you would get some better range if you replaced the barrel with 1/2" CPVC.

Well I use stock darts and mega stefans, but in retrospect I wish I would have started modding with CPVC. Now, I dont feel like converting all my guns and ditching all my darts.

Was it thin wall PVC you used? Or is it just regular PVC?

Just regular 1/2" PVC.

Dang. If it was thin walled then you could put a CPVC barrel in there for stock darts and when you want to use mega's then just take out the CPVC.

Nerfer75, did you lube the plunger head after you added tape? If you didn't, you should definitely do that because it can help range a bit. I just finished the addition of tape/lube to the plunger along with some tape in the connection between the barrel and plunger tube. The range seems to have increased by about 5 feet, not bad considering the minimal effort it took.
