Last night I was at a Quincenera, for those of you who don't know what that is, its a Mexican coming of age celebration for a 15 year old girl. I wasn't invited, I was escorting a friend. So after about 2 hours, the dancing came. First it was classical with a heavy bas so my friends and I took the opportunity to rap with it. With said rapping, keep in mind I am one of the whiter people in the U.S. so when I started (for lack of a better term) spewin lyrics from the top of my brain, people were scared. About half way through, the music turned into more hip hop club beats so I was right away dragged onto the floor by about 5 girls and what ever else you could guess came after. It was Grind tastic. Everyone was grinding with everyone else (girls and guys and girls and girls, no guy on guy, sorry) so you get in on alot of it.

Anyway, to make a topic of this, share your clubbin, dancin, and all around pimpin experiences centered around ladies, clubs and heavy music (or dancing at all, ballroom is awesome too)

No. I was by no means pimpin.

It was all fueled by Jarritos (mexican soda) its like non alcoholic pimp juice. Millions of mexicans swear by it.

The glory of school dances.

I don't dance. I don't have the coordination to dance. The few dances I went to in middle school always went bad. Anything anyone did to alleviate the boredom, including games of duck-duck goose or messing around with a hacky sack in the hallway, were always broken up by the uptight, fascist regime that runs the public schools where I live.

And no, fascist isn't an exaggeration. For decades, the senior prom was held in Philly. The first year the current principal was in office, he put an end to that. He wouldn't let people take food out of the cafeteria, or eat the candy and cookies that the clubs depended on for fund raising, but he would walk down the halls with a pretzel in one hand and a soda in the other. You have to love the hypocrisy of principals. But I digress.

School dances suck. Aways have, always will. The exception would be Junior/Senior prom, but even then, teachers and such can still make everyone miserable.

Atleast no one gets hurt griding... Well physically hurt that is. My friend got a surprise when he found out the chick he was gettin up on had a boyfriend.

But moshing is painful (having done it before) I think I'll pass on the next mosh.
