Hey. I have a couple of RC cars (Well, trucks) and I wanted to know if anyone on the forum enjoys driving these around. I'm not talking about the Tyco rc's that you can get at toys 'r' us, I'm talkin' about the real ones. I have an HPI wheely king, and my dad has an XTM X-cellerator. The wheely king is a truck, and the x-cellerator is a stadium-truck style. Here's a pic of my wheely king.

The other day I went down to my local RC shop, and it struck me that the people there seem like the type of people that would like the nerfing scene, so it came to mind to ask if anyone was in to it. I don't really like the Gas or Nitro types of RC's, on account of they are hard to maintain, polluting, expensive to run, (fuel), and they are very loud. If you have any RC cars, post a pic.

It's not like that. I put lube on it and its the same. Its just stuck. And when I cock it back it goes farther back then usual. Also I push as hard as I can and it wont go back in. I've tried the methods and they wont work. Also pics are up.

Me and my dad almost got into the hobby. We still want the RC trucks though. He wants a Traxxas T-Maxx and I want to go with the Team Losi Mini LST 2. It would still be cool to race every now and then.

I like getting the ones from TRU and then smashing them with my friends. Basically we just use the cars to run into each other. You should try it someone.

I have a traxxis t maxx and a generic version of the t maxx. I actually like my generic one better because it was over $100 cheaper, uses all the same parts as the t maxx and the engine has never given me any trouble. The t maxx just won't tune properly, so it won't stay running and has lots of problems.

My Baseball Team Coach has a T-Maxx, and he and I teamed up against this toys 'r' us car, and we SMASHED it. Two of the wheels were knocked off, the frame was smashed, and we broke the Chassis. The RC shop I talked about in the first post, it has a clay off-road track, and it is covered with jumps, and has one straight away. It's fun. And, I replaced the stock motor of my wheely king, (was a 27t motor) now with a 19t motor. (The less amount of turns, the faster the power can get to the motor, the faster the car.) But cool.

I'm not particularly into cars, but radio control submarines are sweet. Especially when they have lights on them. :P

My friends and I put rocket engines on the light ones from Toys Are We. We let the cars accelerate, and right before the cord runs out, push the button and fire the engines. As long as the car is light enough, it will get some distance. We've even rigged some up so that they took off and flew for a few seconds before the engines run out.

Check out my Daedalus thread, and look in the background. You will see a not so shiny Traxxas Nitro Sport. They're a lot of fun but are costly to keep up, stuff will break. Keep this in mind before you get one.

EDIT: Nitro is the only way to go with these, they own so very hard.

I mean, thats cool, but is it like battlebots?

I bought this "Shell Shocker" a couple years back to hack it, but I never did. Is there any way to "better" it?
