I'm gonna be writing a real, bona-fide, published article on NERFing for the school paper, but I need some questions answered first:

Why is the LnL worth more than an SSII, when an SSII is a much older gun? If it is because the LnL is rarer, why is it rarer?

Why do YOU mod NERF guns?

How much money do you spend on new NERF guns versus older NERF guns?

I will post this article when I am done with it. I'd like to thank anyone who criticized my past 2 1/2 articles, because you helped me identify elements in my writing that were unneeded, immature, inflammatory, etc.

Lnl's are the crossbows of pistols. If that makes sense. Performance wise you could get the same from a NF, but the feel and look are comparable to why everyone loves there xbows so dearly, not to mention there pretty reliable.

Thanks. By the way, this will not be a persuasive essay to compel people to buy new guns. This will be a comparative essay, comparing the old guns to new guns, old NERFers to new NERFers, etc.

Why do I get the feeling that he is not asking that to give that pig dude a nerf gun...?

In Order
-I dunno
-the same reason most of us are here, NERF (modding+warring) is fun
-less than $70, because I have no access to the older guns

-Kanashimi

P.s. What the heck does bona-fide mean?

Why do YOU mod NERF guns?

To help make our games with the Church Youth Group more exciting. It is more fun to have a bit of extra range, rather than needing to be within 10 feet of one another to score a hit! Obviously, since I share my guns with the kids, and with both teams when we play team games, it isn't to gain any tactical edge for me or my team!

How much money do you spend on new NERF guns versus older NERF guns?

I'd say that the ratio is generally 0% old / 100% new. I did buy an old NB-1 missile launcher off of EBay, but that was more for nostalgia than actual use - we have yet to use it during a game. The rest of my arsenal is made up of currently available guns. I'm on a budget (a fancy way of saying I can only spend the money my wife lets me spend on Nerf!), so the rarer, more expensive older guns are not really an option.

The Youth Group also spends its money only on current guns, for the same reason. They have a bunch of old SM250's, but they were purchased many years ago while they were still in production, so they didn't cost an arm and a leg!

You should start hitting up yard sales and Craigslist then; you can find old guns for cheaper than new ones.

Powerclips for $3? SM5k for $7? Yes please.

I looked at Craigslist for "Nerf" and all I found was "Nerf bars" for cars. I don't even know what Nerf Bars are!

I have also found it hard to find anything on craigslist. I foud one guy saying he had every nerf gun ever made, I emailed him and the oldest gun he had was a at2k!
He seemed to know the standard prices, and was way overcharging. He wanted 25$ for the 2k.

Actually, my wife is an avid yard-sale fanatic, and she keeps her eyes open for things I'm interested in. She has yet to find a single Nerf gun either here in Fort Wayne or down in the Fishers/Indianapolis area where her side of the family lives.

Folks here in Indiana must just be really attached to their Nerf guns - because I know they sell well, as evidenced by how quickly the shelves can become bare after a re-stock!

All I get on Craigslist are nerf bars, too. I drive a freaking '94 Camry. How the hell am I supposed to go off-roading in that?

I'd believe finding stuff at a Goodwill store. But I am far too lazy to actually drive the 4 miles to the one by my house and look.

Well, I saw a manta ray and a double crossbow, the double crossbow was still NIB, but I left my wallet at home!!!! And, the worst part is, I was about 200 miles from my house, (I was down in Portland, Oregon, for a doctors app. And, I only go there once a month or so! :( ) So I know, for a fact, that you can find amazing deals at GoodWill. Oh, and the MR was 4$, and the DC was 8$ (Cause it was NIB)
EDIT: The DC that was NIB, the box was somewhat damaged, but it still had most of the plastic on it.

It's not like that. I put lube on it and its the same. Its just stuck. And when I cock it back it goes farther back then usual. Also I push as hard as I can and it wont go back in. I've tried the methods and they wont work. Also pics are up.
