3-5 hours is too long? I drive 6 hours to every MN event and you guys can't even drive 3 hours.

Well, the difference is, that they are the nearest wars to you, I doubt you would go to MN wars as often if more people in your area nerfed. But, I guess 3-5 hours isn't really that far. Don't blame me anyway, I will come to the war if all the whereabouts stay the same and we get more people.

I could easily host a war hear in IL. There is definitely enough interest but, I rather come to MN because I know you guys will put on a good show. Your wars are awesome.

Why would I go to Maryland for DCNO? I went because I knew it was going to be worth the trip out there. Same thing applies when I go to MN. It's actually cheaper to fly out to Maryland than it is to drive to Minnesota.

Just thought I would bump again, in an attempt to get some more possible people. Just on the note of a location change, I vote against it. Wisconsin doesn't really have any wars of it's own, but most of the neighboring states do. Since we are having an early August war here in MN, I am less upset about the likely possibility of calling the war off, but I still think it is worth a try to have it anyway.

I am sad as hell to say that I wont be able to make it. Until I can drive, I am at the mercy of my parentals. If only you guys coulda hosted a Illinois or Wisconsin war during the 4th when I was driving through both states, my parents probably would have stopped to let me nerf it up for a day.

So sad too, Carbon is fun to nerf with.

It's just as well....I think this is a wash for this year. We have about four confirmeds, and twice again as many maybes. I tell you, I don't think that I would travel to a war with a promised turnout that small. And since it's a war that everyone's travelling to, we can't even depend on a core turnout of locals.

Time to shelve this idea until next year. Perhaps a different location that can really get everyone from a five state area. It'll happen....just not this year.
