HERE IT IS!! After asking one too many questions around here, I thought I'd give a little something back to everyone. I got a NightFinder for myself and I never liked how a certain end part looked, so I decided to fix that with this little modd.

You will need: NightFinder(duh)
Dremel tool
A stick of JB Stick Weild (found some in a AutoParts store) or mighty putty will work (same shit)

Frist thing's frist, you use the thin cutting disk to get rid of the unwanted part.


Once done, I then cut a bit of the JB putty and place it where the rest of it will sit.


Now you get the needed amount of putty to form the wall, and sculpt the desired shape.



Also keep in mind that you gotta watch it as it drys, if you don't it will flop around and your shape will mess up. Luckly it hardens pretty fast.

After it hardens and it stops flopping around when you move it, repeat the same steps for the other half of the shell. MAKE SURE that when you form the shape, it doesn't interfer with any parts or keep it from being able to be put back together!
the two halfs should fit together like so....




and there you have it, a basic shell modifycation.


I'm sorry if the pictures aren't clear enough and I'm not sure how it looks if you paint it, I'm still working on it. If anyone want's to try it, let me know how it turns out

I did something similar to this for Lil' Elvis (old NF) what helps is if you actually do 2 layers of putty/ Weld and then sand one down with fine grit sandpaper to get it smooth. Then, tape off your gun, and paint the damn thing !

Well, you've done a good job, but many other people have minimized their nitefinders already in the same way. Typically, the light and ammo holders are also removed with NF minimization. This isn't anything new, but don't fret, these things happen.

I didn't do this to minimize it, The ammo holder is still on, and the light is gonna get replaced if I can find what I'm looking for. I just did this cause the original top part is fugly.

I understand that, what I'm saying is that people have already had the idea of removing that piece. I do like your idea of replacing it with the putty, though.
