Over my spring break I painted my longshot:

My small mod is making the stock removable. All I did was cut a slot in the back of the gun so that the stock can slide all the way off. This also makes it allot easier to take it apart for maintenance.

Nice! What keeps the stock on?

Don't want to shove balls in tight spaces. Trust me, bad idea.

For sale: Vintage WWII French rifles. Dropped once, never fired.

Good painting. I like the gold bot and the white flecks(or whatever they are).

The stock is held on by the latch like it always is.

I really like that paint job. Particularly, the striped handle and the purple muzzle. Nice job. At least I know my old longshot clips will go into a good longshot.

Your clips will also help me to create a drum mag, hopefully.

Doesn't the bottom flap/section of the stock get too bendy? I thought about doing the same but I thought it'll get to flexible.

I like the purple! I don't often see one painted that color. Good idea about the stock; I assume that you don't have trouble keeping it on?

It stays when you "lock" the stock.

It can slide off when it isn't locked, I assume. :D

AJAQ is right the stock stays on when you lock it. Also the plastic is slightly flexible but it is fine, I have no fear of it breaking any time soon.
