So I just went out and had my mom get me a can of purple pvc primer(there was no clear), a can of heavy duty pvc cement, and a large can of spray foam(pretty much for other reasons)... So here are my questions:

1. Is the purple primer alright to use? I havent seen any homemades with purple on them...

2. Should I seal around the pump valve? In the homemades section I though i read that it made a good enough seal but could i make it better? If so what should I use? I would think that the air pressure would push the valve out further though so the seal would get better when i fill it...

3. Is it ok that I am using around five reducers to go from 2 inch to .5 inch? I'm just curious because my lowes and home depot did not have any straight from 2 to .5 inch.

Thankyou for all your help.

edit: added a third question

1. yes it is fine to use it is just that some people don't use and eventually it will blow apart when they dont use it.
2. Do you mean a shrader or presta valve?
3. it is okay its just really annoying.

Thats a shrader valve. I would seal it I were you ,but I have no experience with the shraders without threads.

Yeah, my shraeder valve off of inner tube leaks a lot, with goop and another sealant.

I'm kind of scared to use PVC cannons actually...

Bulkhead mount schrader valves are self-sealing if you drill the hole to the size indicated by the instuctions on the packaging.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

So i searched and found pretty close to nothing.

what sort of lubricant is best for ball valves? One is fine and easy to twist while the other is a bit harder. Also on my next homemade the ball valve is pretty hard so it wont do good for a quick fire.

You should use Silicone Spray or a Silicone based lubricant. Petroleum will eat at the rubber so don't use vasoline or WD-40. This will cause air to leak over time.
