Ok I'm just really pissed. ON multiple occasions I've tried to get the ar out of my recon. I've tried screwdrivers. chopsticks, bigger screwdrivers, pencils, pens, screaming, pliers, screws, and a hammer screwdriver combo. I can't get it out. And until I get it out it is gonna suck because I can't do a spring replacement unless I go to this hardware store all the way near beverly hills where you can select wire thickness, and they make it for you, for like 50 bucks or something like that. I'm not willing to use flame, or other hot objects because of safety concerns for the actual gun. Thought about a magnifying glass, but it hasn't been sunny and I can't find one. Please help. Sorry if I sound noobish.

CaptainSLug's method works great if you have a drill and a 1/2 inch drill bit. That way you can use the WHOLE bolt. I'll get a link.

mod.

Yeah, I used Slugs method on removing my Recon ar, and it took me all of about 30 seconds to drill it out. Also, the air restrictor wasn't damaged at all, not that, the ar is needed though.

It's the barrel I'm worried about. Stupid safety regulations, without them we wouldn't have to take out AR's

Drill from the backside.

I have used 1/2 bits on all of the longshots I have made (about 20). Never trashed a single one removing the AR.

I had to use a small amount of explosives on my recon.

Easiest thing to do (from my experience) is to open the Recon up and take out the mechanism. Remove the "ARMED" plunger and drill out the AR using a foot long 1/2 inch paddle bit. If you don't have a drill you can at use a smaller paddle bit to pop out the peg that the dart sits on/around.

Don't worry so much about what other people will allow. Throw your own wars and kick your friends' asses until they all want one.
