ok guys, i hear people talking about how they tricked out their gun with crayola makers. Do markers really work for barrels, or what? I heard some say you use 'em to nest with PVC? how does that work?
specifically i am tallking about my at3k. Does nesting mean that you put the marker in the turret and then the pvc over the marker?

ok. I finished my at3k mod. I pluged up the over pressure release valve on the pump handle. I sawed off the stock turret below the line. Then I stole aobut 12 crayola markers from my little sister.

To make the barrels i cleaned out the markers by removing the felt tip and by pullin the back cap off and removing the stuff in the inside.

next i sawed off about an inch from the front of the markers. I took a file and bored out the marker shell. These parts are the front of the barrel.

for the back of the barrel i cut off the first half inch of the tip. and i bored out the inside till it was smooth.

Then i put the back end of the fornt marker to the back end of the back marker usiing electrical tape.

i then put this barrel on to the turret. the shoot my micro stefans quite well.

Basically this whole thing really had no point. Besides that i, for under twenty bucks,(b/c of markers retributtion) have a kick ass weapon of foamy that will make your little sister pee her pants.

Sounds good. The comment I made before is still true though. Crayolas improve range, but adding PVC improve range AND accuracy even more. I have a gun modded only with crayolas, but adding PVC or brass would make it much more effective. If just crayolas work for you, then that's great.

Edit:

Ooops, I forgot to answer your other question. Yes, "nesting" crayloas and PVC is just like you described it. The crayola goes inside the PVC. Only problem with doing that on the AT3k is that the barrels are too close together for PVC to fit. Bummer.

I'm going to say this now:

Crayolas suck.

CPVC, PTEG tubing, and Brass are much better at firing micro darts.

So why does my site push them? Because they internally couple with all ~<5/8"ID 1/2" PVC. Which means they can be used ito allow removable barrels in guns with small distance between barrels, like Splitfires. Also, handily, the formerly front end of the crayola fits quite well into some arbitrary barrel stubs, like Secret Shot 2's and Switch Shot Max's. Consider all the barrel materials you have, try them all at least once, and use whatever is most convenient for your particular application when performing your mod.

In the case of an AT3K, it seems like PTEG is the most convenient material for the micro darts you seem to be using.

Just buy some 1/2" cpvc pipe. It's really cheap (under 5$) and works well with micro stefans. That's how I did mine and it stings for 5 minutes if you shoot yourself at 3". My parents won't let me shoot my sibling because it "might hurt them too much".

Thanks for all your help.

My plan is to go now and buy some 1/2 cpvc. Also, i am gonna buy some brass.

I would buy some petg, but i really dont know where to get it, and buying it off some guy i never met doesn't sit well with me. Whose bought petg? tell me about it.

I remember the day (ok, week) that PETG was found... Zero got a whole shipment (right?) of it, lots of people bought it from him... Everyone said it was kick-ass.

You can safely assume that PETG rocks.

...Why the hell do the forums keep drawing me back???

Zero got a whole shipment

I'm pretty sure it was cxwq...

But, contact IronRhino for some. He got a large shipment of it directly from cx, and it's the perfect size for micro stefans. $1.25 plus shipping, with a minimum of 8'. It's said to work great for alot of things.

No, but obviously I need to get some, to perpetuate the lie.

...

It's my thunder now, bitch!

[...Maybe not.]

Crayol to PVC barrel is extreemely awesome for red micro's if you use stock darts, but otherwise, the extra space (filled with the suction cup when using stock darts) looses huge amounts of power and throws accuracey way out of wack.
