The problem with spray paint is that it usually ends up chipping or scraping off. Vinyl dye is much better, since it actually changes the color of the plastic, instead of just laying on top of it.
I see, so how much would Vinyl Dye cost? Does it come in a spray can?
Thanks.

As for the texture, spraypaint isn't like the kind of paint you'd put on a house. It's smooth and feels a lot like plastic or metal, at least in my experience. It's also dependent on how evenly you coat the gun like someone else said, but generally if you put a few light coats on (light enough that the paint won't start to drip and roll off the gun) it feels almost like the stock plastic.

Thats the one I use, but it rubs off too easily. Thats the only bad thing about it. I'll try the vinyl dye when I get the money.i use spray paint... The cheap 98 cent cans from walmart. It leaves a nice smooth coat. I only use it because its cheap though. They dont have many colors. Im just going to guess and say car paint is pretty expensive though...

It's the same price as regular spray paint. But you can usually only find it at automotive supply stores. You just have to put on a few good coats. I'm sure vinyl dye would stay on better but it's probably much more expensive.
