[MDNERFERS]

Would anyone be interested in a 3 on 3 nerf tournament in the Baltimore/Annapolis area comming up soon? We already have some possible locations and sponsors and just want to see if anyone was interested before we went ahead and followed through with them. Let us know!

What exactly do you mean by a 3 on 3 tournament? Who could possibly want to sponsor such an event? Power Plant Live? The Baltimore Aquarium? Natty Boh?

Give us a little more of an idea of what you are talking about. I am in MD often enough to be interested.

We have a warehouse near Baltimore that would be a possible sponsor sponsor, and gvie us a place to play. The 3 on 3 would be a one hit eleimitation all out battle till one team has been eleminated. It would take place in the warehouse and cover and places to hide would be provided.

I'm interested. I live in Riverdale (10mins from D.C. 30mins from Baltimore harbor. Is there a fee to enter this tournament? Who is possibly going to sponser this event?

One hit elimination? One round, and it's over? That's going to make for one extremely fast style of play. I'm interested, provided I'm not driving 2 hours for 5 minutes of Nerfing, then leaving. I think you need to work on the logistics of some of this.

I'd be very interested. I'll be in the area in a couple of weeks, but, like Groove Ill be two hours away. If it's one hit elimination, the game is not going to last very long. Also, you'll need to set up specific rules of what is and isn't legal. Also, how are you going to judge it? If it's one hit and you're out, there is going to be much greater temptation to deny getting shot. Depending on the size of the warehouse, you might consider playing CTF. Also, a 3 vs. 3 tournament w/ a bracket might be a better idea than just a giant free for all. If it was a bracket tournament, the teams that were eliminated could go to a nearby park and NERF there so as not to travel two hours for five minutes of NERFing.

We were thinking the same thing. We decieded that you would have to lose 3 games to be totally out of the tournament. the one hit eleimination is in effect during the games. This way you would get to play at least three games.

One hit elimination in a wharehouse setting is simply going to encourage uber long range weapons and paintball-esque (cover, peak and fire, cover) tactics which essentially removes every thing nerf has going for it. Why not call it a potato gun tournament?

This sounds interesting, but please, we need more details, like possible dates/times.

That a good idea would you suggest mabey a 3 or 4 hit and your out policy? Or mabey a way to bring teammates back into the game by hitting a target that has been set up? As for dates we don't really have any dates yet, however we hope to get this thing off as soon as possible. We just wanted to see if anyone was interested before setting the whole thing up. We'll let you know as soon as we get some idea of the date.

A) fix your grammar, and B ) who the hell is WE. I have a real issue with the royal we. If you give us an idea of who YOU are, it makes it look a lot less sketchy for everyone, and you won't be wasting our time.

The standard here seems to be the 3:15 rule, which involves 3 hits before you're out, with a 15 second delay before re-entering play. Perhaps that would work best in this setting.
