I was browsing thinkgeek.com, looking for some good stuff, when I found this. I thought that it would be useful for recording war footage. Captain Slug, I know that you had problems during the UMD war so I thought it might help.

Or some one could sit out a round or two to tape some "footy". After playing Skate, I love that word, its so funny.

I'm suprised its so steady and clear, I thought it would be way more blurry.

It's easier to just mount the camera to your gun. Having one mounted on your head is too awkward.
And the white balance of the video that thing takes is terrible.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

It looks pretty cool, I must say. I might look into getting one of those.

I've seen them before, but because I'm cheap and I like making movies, I've been thinking of a way to make a strap-on case for my conventional camcorder out of duct-tape that would hold it on my shoulder, so I can make first-person movies that mock games, and stuff like that.

Is there anyone daring enough to add this to their signature?

I've been thinking about getting something like this myself a reasonably cheap gun cam to record wars, assassinations, and assorted other nerf-related happenings. What should I look for? Obviously, I need a decent framerate and resolution, and external memory is a must. Are there any models that people would recommend?

If you already have a digital camera it may already be able to fill your requirements. If it doesn't consider upgrading to one that does. A basic Canon Powershot A530 or newer can record 640x480 @ 30fps and will cost around $140

It's easier to just mount the camera to your gun. Having one mounted on your head is too awkward.

It looks like all you would need to do is secure the female clamp from any old camera/Camcorder and put it on your (blank).

straps are stupid and don't secure anything short of whatever people put on their roof racks.

and if you don't want to spend too much, find a Hi-8 Recorder, it worked just fine when i stuck it behind the accessory rail on my LS(pita).

You can just bolt the camera on. The standard camera-to-tripod screw thread specification is UNC 1/4-20.

Awww, you guys added that hilarious quote to my signature, while playing with my butthole an incomplete sentence, that's like, cheating or something.
Though I had a feeling something like this would happen...

Well
a. This camera can record 13 hours of video.
b. It's easy to mount.
c. It's compact
d. It's $40 cheaper.

Again, wearing a camera on your head during a round of Nerf is very awkward. Even if it's small. I'm not going to be doing it again or recommending it to anyone one else. It was a one-time experiment that didn't prove worthwhile.

Well
a. This camera can record 13 hours of video.
b. It's easy to mount.
c. It's compact
d. It's $40 cheaper and lacks the ability to take clear photos.
e. The video it produces is overexposed
f. It doesn't seem to be capable of focusing past 6 feet

Fixed

The only thing it has going for it over a camcorder or digital camera is that it's already waterproof.
