I know there is already a simple mod for the Speedloader, which is to remove the ARs and stuff brass into the barrels, but I discovered something else that could be changed...

When you cock the gun, the plunger is NOT pulled as far back as possible. There are still a couple of catches that aren't being used which would give the gun another full inch of air space in the plunger. I noticed it first when I cocked the gun a second time while it was still cocked and it went 1/3rd of the way before stopping. So I cocked the gun, opened it up delicately and saw this:

Anyone have any ideas on how to get a full draw on a single pump?

Is there a way to extend the gear mechanism at all?
You might have a chance then.

No, it won't go farther because the spring maxes out. That's a guess, so anything with less coils should see a drastic improvement. For example, and Autogrip, or Armorshot spring would work nicely. They are VERY strong for a stock spring (stronger than a 1st Gen NF spring).

You misundersand the problem.

The spring can compress more, easily. The problem is that the gear only pulls the plunger back so much before the gear rail runs out of teeth and the cocking handle hits the end of its track.

To sputnik:
I'm not sure... I guess you could cut the guide for the cocking handle to make it longer, that would be easy. The difficult part would be adding additional teeth to the cocking slide. Not sure how you'd do that.

Since I don't own a speedloader, I don't know if this is possible/feasible, but could you artifically reproduce a new slide with more teeth?
Using polycarbonate, etc.

Check out what Angel did to his Eagle Eye.

Eagle Eye's have similar cocking mechanisms (i.e., they use gears), but he attached a piece of heavy duty wire to the plunger rod in order to eliminate the use of gears.

Now, the only problem with this is the rotation of the turret. You see, readying the blaster to fire would now be a two-stage process:

1. Pull back on the wire to pull the plunger.
2. Work the "pump action" in order to turn the turret.

So, ROF would be reduced; however, you could (potentially) get better range. It's up to you to decide which is more important for you.

Finally, I do not own a Speedloader and thus cannot tell you for sure that this modification will work. It is a possibility, though, and I encourage those who do own Speedloaders to consider it and give some feedback.

Are you able to go and buy another Speedloader? If so, You could buy a new one, Cut the teeth off of it, And JB weld the teeth to the plunger rod mechanism.

EDITYEDIT: Also, You could dremel out the handle's track.
