people [inc. me] have investigated designs in the past... but all were to complicated... if you want a pistol... buy one.. homemades are usless and for th cost its much better to know it works and that itll work for some time...

Don't do that shit, and don't ask dumb questions like you did. 4 threads is your limit for the month, not the day... oh my god, you stupid child. If you need to ask that many questions, keep it in one thread, don't clog up the boards with your non-sense
Going fucking insane because of these kids...

superintendent, when you make homemades, most people use a cominbation of these ingredients: PVC, ball valve, one way valve, and a pump. The basic principal is this: The pump, pumps air through the one way valve on the end of a length of PVC. On the other end of the PVC, a ball valve is attached. When you turn the ball valve, pressurized air escapes, propelling a dart.
For more info, just go search on the net man.

You are not being forced to read his posts Sylent_Blade, you have a thing with flaming newbies? At least taita cakes took the time to try to answer his question. And who really cares about spelling and grammar, as long as you can read their topic, my gosh.
1.) well they have to learn some day, i think on subsribing all newbies [different to n00bs] should be FORCED to read the newbie info, not as an option
2.) dont praise me, its only been one week plus since i revived old topics and killed a post

and the main point of a pistol is to cram all of this into the smallest possible gun body/shell .... and in failure, people tend to lean towards spring propulsion....

Sylent Blade, kindly refrain from whining until you've been here long enough to hear every question asked a dozen times. Post count does matter when it grows out of proportion to your perceived value to the site. An awful lot of your posts are attempts to silence people - why don't you leave that shit to me and Vacc. We're really good at it.

ANYWAY BACK ON TOPIC
as i said before no-one has had a simple design for a pistol so far, although zero has talked about his shell/valve design, and henceforth lost me somewhere along the introduction, the idea of a nerf pistol is only feesable [sp] in the use of a spring powered propulsion method instead of a ball valve design, which is found to be impossible to cram into a pistol shell/body....

But it was also stupid and based on faulty materials, so let's just forget about it, shall we? (New one's on the way... With Cadmond's brass in the mail)
So, gimme a second to throw up a rather small, single-shot design (pistols have little room for large secondary air tanks) for our friend here...

http://www.geocities.../spistolang.txt
I forgot to mention "ugly" too. But hey, it's a start. Sorry it's not so simple... Just a few drilled holes, string trigger system (springbox designs are annoying), and easy-to-find parts... Aside from that 7/16"OD rod. That can be annoying. But you have three different materials for it, so it shouldn't be too hard. Also, that barrel is glued in there.. Otherwise, the front O-ring flies out and otherwise sucks.
If you don't understand the mass of O-rings, see the Basic Valve tutorial on this site. It's pretty much that, just without all the vinyl tubing spacers, using just the naturally 5/8"OD 1/2" CPVC to hold the O-rings inside the adapter and endcap.
If you want a more complex design... Well, wait. Exams on the horizon...
