I saw this clip loading BnA at Nerfhq and I thought it was cool. Now I want to make my AT3K a clip loader, but what sizes of PVC will I need to shoot mega stefans? Can I just clip through the metal bar that holds the turret in? Has anybody done this before?

Sure, if you want to hold the turret on while using it.

The AT3k, as with all SM and AT guns, uses spring tension in the turret to achieve a reasonable seal.

1/2" PVC works with 5/8" mega stefans. Though they would suck in that gun.

There is no size of the stark white PVC that fits Stefan Micros. The smallest commonly available size is 1/2", but its inner diameter measures 5/8", which is the size of a Nerf micro dart's rubber collar.

If you want to shoot Stefan Micros made from 1/2" foam backer rod, you would use 1/2" CPVC. It's usually tan colored, or off-white. Its I.D. is 1/2". Alternates include PETG (recommended), brass (also a good idea), or copper (too heavy most likely).

However, I'm not quite sure why you want to clip mod an automatically rotating gun like the AT3k. Is the seal not good enough for what you want? I really think you'd be better off working on a mod around the existing turret. But it's your choice. Good luck.

I think he's saying he single barreled his AT3k.

That would imply that you're single barreling it. WHY?!?!? It is a great gun. It's a shame to waste such a fantastic mechanism such as the one in the at3k.

I'm going to single barrel it because i'm getting another. And wouldn't a clip loader get more range than a cpvc turret? And if I have 2 why mod them the same?

dunno. I just think its waste of an ingenious mechanism. You could get an at2k to single instead.

Indeed. Not to mention the fact that it's quite difficult to get the 3k up to the same pressure levels that the 2k achieves. The pump handle doth suck muchly.

Not that I like the idea of single barrel modding any multi-barrel gun.

My toys r us is out of AT2Ks. And I like the size of the AT3K more if I'm going to use it for a losing weapon. And I repeat my question from before, can I just cut through that small metal piece that connects the turret to the gun?

if you're dead set on single barreling it, why would you worry about a piece that's only integral to the rotating mechanism? you can cut through the metal axel, but don't expect the rotating mechanism to work afterwards. i really think you could have answered that one yourself.

I don't think there are any metal axles involved. What you may be seeing is the small screw that is set in the center of the rotating column. You can cut all that crap up as much as you want, just don't harm the valve, tubing, and pump. Good luck with your little project.

P.S. how much $$ are you getting those AT3ks for that you want to single barrel it?

The only reason my at3k is single barreled is because of a great friend of mine's "accident" with my gun.I eventually got a turret on but it's about the same as the regular barrels, aka just more work for me.

man its kinda wac to sigle barrel a at3k. what a waste of hard earned money.

i modded a at2k and a at3k at the same time. i singled the at2k and left the at3k alone. Now i wish that i had just bought a at2k because using the same at mods the at2k shoots much father and harder.

ps. I made a nef believer today. Rack one convert for Tualatin! THe CRUSADER! he is a big paintballer, and watching him scream in pain after getting shot pointblank with a stefan was more fun than screwing your sister.
