If you accidentally clock somebody with a doubleshot, then you're more liable to break the doubleshot than you are to cause serious injury.
PM me if selling a NIB or LNNB LnL.

The +Bow was designed to have an absurdly long plunger draw and sizable plunger diameter coupled with a very powerful spring.
The SNAP series was designed to be effective and cheap.
A SNAP will cost you less than $20 to make and doesn't require very many tools.
A +Bow will cost you roughly $110 to make and requires specific tools.

That sums it all. Plus, you have to be a good modder/builder to make a +bowWith refinements the Snap-1 mk2 shoots up to 70-80 feet. The +Bow on the other hand shoots 110-140 feet.

Actually, the mk2 has a range of 90 feet with my breech barrel. With a fixed barrel, it can top 100. My recent experiments with the design sap a little bit of power in exchange for different ergonomics, but the basic design is extremely powerful. The +bow and the SNAP have similar plunger diameters, but the +bow has a much longer draw, which gives it the edge in power. With refinements the Snap-1 mk2 shoots up to 70-80 feet.
However, the SNAP can be built with a hacksaw and a drill, so it has its advantages.

Both are homemades with design specifics that suit the individual's tastes.
I look at the SNAP (of which I have built one of my own) as a '65 Chevy Nova, stripped to it's essentials, stuck together in a garage with a torch and hand tools. It's inexpensive, quite reliable, and it can hold it's own with the "normal" crowd (parallel with your average Nerf blasters).
I look at the +bow as a BMW 5 series; highly refined, precision cut, very specifically assembled piece of homebuilt machinery. We've yet to see a full acid test on it, but like anything with that amount of detail, may or may not require more than average "tweaking" to get it going right. But once it does.... oh boy.
A SNAP can be built for the price of a Recon... or even less.
A + Bow, as was stated, will set you back the cost of three Longshots.
It boils back down to what you want, and what your build capabilities are. I'd stab at less than 5% of our members to have the abilitiy to build a +bow, where just about anyone with enough motivation can build a SNAP.

Yeah. Reckoning was the practice run. The UMD war was a decent follow-up test. But ECNO is going to be very interesting as a complete test because there will be a record number of +bows all being used at once. Should be very interesting. We've yet to see a full acid test on it, but like anything with that amount of detail, may or may not require more than average "tweaking" to get it going right. But once it does.... oh boy.

Snaps:
A weekend project if you have everything.
Easy to use, maintain, fix, upgrade
Shoots well
+Bow:
WAY longer to make
Looks cooler
Epitamy(Sp) of a Crossbow
They both give a satisfaction feeling after shooting both. Like- you feel good that you got a hit with something you made.
