I checked, I've only seen one and I completely agree with you bobafan. I want mine to be practical, comfortable, and look nice.

Get a lot of surface area on the gun to the stock. I make my stocks extremely sturdy, if it feels wobbly I won't put weight on it, and it won't be used. You can use PVC/CPVC couplers and glue them securely to the gun, then have the stock slide into them. Hotglue works fine for stocks, it's the amount of glue applied that matters here, not as much how strong it is. Though I'd recommend using high temp, just because low temp doesn't stick too well. Do not use liquid-type glues such as super glue, you want something that takes up area (again, I recommend hot glue). A quick drying time is good, unless you have a way to secure the stock while it's drying over a long period of time (rubber bands?).
If you think you're going to need to open your gun up any time after the stock is installed, glue it to only one side of the case. Use silicon spray or some other kind of lubricant on one shell side to make sure glue won't bond to it. You can always use a pocket knife to cut off bits of glue.

Yet even the recons stock is flimsy... and I think it is kind of impractical unless you put the extra spring behind it in the stock...It seems to me that a pistol with a stock would be impractical and flimsy. Even if the Recon has a stock, it's a big pistol so it barely counts. The point is, if it's smaller than an average primary, it does not need a stock.
