I've heard people say they do the penny mod to their maverick but I have never known where to put the penny (or in my case 20c because I'm Aussie <_< ) Could someone please post a picture of where the penny goes or try explaining it? Thanks a bunch.

The penny or pennies are place behind the spring to improve the power of the spring.

Thanks for the reply Lynx. I thought the coin would go somewhere around the spring but I don't get how this improves the gun?

I believe it is intended to increase the compression of the spring, causing it to move the plunger faster, thus increasing the amound of air that affects the dart before it leaves the barrel.

I would just forget the pennies and put an air restrictor behind the spring. This works just as well if not better

Would the air resrictor keep it from catching? I don't know it just seems too thick. Also the penny doesn't seem like you would get any significant change in the ranges. <_<

The catch still works fine in my maverick. The ranges increased a bit, so I'd reccomendend it if you have a mav ar layin around.

Actually You can put 2 1/2 ARs before it won't catch.

Putting in AR springs will do nothing. You notice a range increase because of other things you did to the gun.

Edit: Fuck, that's the first time I've ever contributed to a necro. I kept the contents of my post because it still applies to what the above posters are talking about.
