I think it has something to do with Iron Man Magstrikes hitting stores. I've got two on the way as well.
Yeah, probably. But that's going to be cheaper than this, and it's only one (with one clip). Maybe kids like weird paintjobs.
I only have one on the way, mainly because I basically bought one for $5 off my friend (missing some key parts... but whatever) and also have a modified one with another one which is going to be used on my own piece of "insanity".

Well, the unsporting approach would be to take a block of poly/what-have-you and put it through a CNC machine. When I get my MS in, I'll investigate cheaper and more fun methods. I don't have access to equipment for injection molding.
You could try vaccum forming

You could try vaccum forming
I don't think that it would produce a sharp enough edge, but could work to form a mold.
Don't want to shove balls in tight spaces. Trust me, bad idea.
For sale: Vintage WWII French rifles. Dropped once, never fired.

But the real exciting news is:
It comes with a free healing ointment!
Yeah, it's been pretty exciting here at my house. Everyone wants to get injured so we can try it out.

Damn looks like they're sold out.
Glad I impulsively ordered one of these before they ran out. Shipped out today.

If they were out of stock, they aren't anymore.

I just bought a single Magstrike from the Target website for more than that. Now I feel ripped off.http://www.etoys.com...k/Y/D/?_ts=B001
it looks like everyone wants to get rid of them. well, $20 is a great deal even if you're just keeping the shell.
I did the same thing, now i want to cry.
i got one on ebay with 1 clip for 8 bucks.
