I just got an idea, and i want to know if anyone has thought of it, or if it has been done... and also, if it would work!

basically, the bi-pod would be removed, and that area would be made so that the whole weird bunch of stuff was gone, and a flat space was there. then, you could put on a tactical rail, and then be able to put on atatchments, like a light or something...

so, give me your opinions, and tell me (if you like the idea) if you could possibly do it! im not going to try because im new to modding and.... im flat-out broke!

Thanks!

People have used that area for integrations. That is a pretty good idea, but I often find that the tactical rail system doesn't hold on to the guns or accessories very well.

Its been thought of and probably done. but the truth of the matter is... why? There is really so reason for "mil-sim" in nerf. I mean, when would you ever use a light, unless you are playing at night or participating in other events such as humans vs zombies. But onto your main point, even extensively modded I really see no purpose in using a bipod becuase the longshot isnt the most accurate gun and doesnt get enough range to warrant a tactical rail or bipod.

Just my 2 cents

The light and the sort is not really improving the efficiency of your NERF blaster...However, if you took the rail from something and mounted it on a blaster you could attatch various blasters.

Oh yeah, and guys, whether or not Nanake is a girl, spell the name right, it was at the bottom of the first post: "Kaitlin" not "Kaitlyn".

Nerf has kind of came up with that idea with the CS 6. If you haven't seen it it has a LS clip and the same size. It has a tactical rail under the barrel fore a light.

Heres a picture as you will see it's like the LS except broken inot pieces:

in fact, i am an ACTUAL girl :P and my friend got me into nerf guns, and I've been poking at my collection for awhile... I have the Recon, Longshot, Nite Finder (my only modded gun [man isn't that sad?]) Firefly, and Maverick (which is broken right now). Whenever me n my friends play, we always turn off the lights, just for fun, and i always like having a light on each gun. So, i don't really want to put the light i have on the top, it makes it harder for me to aim at people. I can aim well, but i usually need the scope on top to aim, light or dark. So it'd be helpful to have an extra light in place of the bi-pod, which i never use. I like the tactical rail system, because i can change things if i don't like it.... I'm no good at modding, really so i like things kinda simple...

long story short I wanna have two tactical rails on my longshot so i can have a light and scope, without them being permanently there :D

Yeah the modular idea has been done. I, myself, have coined the easiest by far. You can find it here. Depending on what light you use, I'm assuming the recon one, you can attach it there and still have another gun there. Don't pay attention to what people say about clips. While it is true that some clips are stronger than others (guess I've been lucky with all of them), my LS can dish it would and still allow me to split my guns apart if necessary. I doubt you'll be throwing your gun at someone so you should worry about something falling off.

Oh yeah. Way to speak up. The ladies of Nerf need to represent.

I don't really recommend using both the light and the gun at the same time as it will be fragile but at least you can do it.

Wow, that makes...carry the 4...add the 2...umm...like 4 girl members on this site. Many welcomes, glad to see that this is branching out a little. Anyway, it would be entirely possible to add a rail, but you could always just integrate something in. Check the mods directory that our supreme overload FA_24 is so kind to provide, and the search is your friend. Longshots are one of the most modded guns out there.

Well, looks like we do have some active female nerfers. I thought they were an endangered species haha. If you really want to put a tactical rail on your longshot, you could rip one off of another gun (maybe that broken Mav?) and epoxy the thing on or you could custom make one.

If I had time i would just make one, but right now, I'm being ghetto and using velcro strips on my longshot. I have them running along the front end of the "assault rifle" portion of the LS and some more velcro on my flashlight, low-power red light, etc. Pretty handy for small stuff. Just an idea...

So, you basically want to cut off the front of the LS and put the n-strike rail thing there?

I believe its been done.

Anyways, I personally wouldn't like it and wouldn't use it, mainly because I Nerf outside where I have to run around and get into innumerable uncomfortable positions which both include jostling my gun around. It just doesn't seem so durable to me.

On the other hand if you primarily war indoors, or you aren't as reckless with your guns then it shouldn't be a problem. Whatever sinks your anchor.

On a side note, why is everyone making such a big deal that there is actually a female on this site? I mean it's... I don't want to say weird... Different, but... Whatever (I'll cool it with the elipseses <spelling error).

Well, props on being a girl and all.

Just realized that TAILschaser already posted the link, so sorry for being repetative.

I'm having a really hard time understanding that last post EJ. I'd say at least half the members haven't admitted to being a girl...
