I checked the where to buy modding materials thread, and no mention of where to get CPVC.
Where do you guys get it.
Also, the very little amount I have is very tight on my darts.
I plan to use them in rototrack chains.
Is the rototrack strong enoug for them to leave the barrels?
thanks

EDIT. I checked ompa's mod. CPVC will work.

Are you sure your not thinking about PVC? CPVC is white, not grey, and is very thin. Barely fits stock darts.

If you are right, then I stand corrected, as I have never been able to find any CPVC at Home depot.

Apparently there are two kinds of cpvc.
If you want to find cpvc at your local hardware store check the plumbing sections.
I have never used cpvc as a barrel material because the only cpvc I can find is insanely tight.
To tight to even use stock darts.

Lowe's has very good CPVC. Check the website to see where you can get it.

It's also very cheap there.

I get my CPVC at Lowes. You can find it in the plumbing section. I cant get 10' of CPVC for around three bucks and get 5' for two something, I don't really remember, I don't buy the 5' foot that much. The CPVC at Lowes ( or at least the one by me ) has a nice fit on my stefans and stock darts.

No, he's talking about CPVC. I too have been able to find it in 10 foot sections at my local Home Depot and Lowes, but Home Depot sells it for cheaper. I find it fits stock darts extremely well and has a slightly tighter than I would like fit on my stefans which are made out of light gray Frost King foam.

When speaking about a swallow, always make sure you know whether it is an African or European swallow. It is very important.

Yes, go to Lowes. They have thick(er) wall CPVC, and thin(er) wall CPVC. Get the thinner wall. It's PERFECT for Angels Red FBR.

Actuall, ice might have been right. Maybe the thin(er) wall, is 1/4 inch PVC? It doesn't have that yellow stripe most CPVC's do.

I get my CPVC from OSH and Usplastic.com

If people at the hardware store don't know what you mean by CPVC, tell them it's for cold tap-water piping and they might understand what you are talking about.

EDIT: The CPVC I get is kind of an off-white color.

Lowes had cpvc when I went there a while ago, although when I go to Home Depot and ask for cpvc they don't have it. I've found that the best places to get moding materials is local hardware stores, or at least the ones around me.

I've been able to get thinwall cpvc at my local ACE and my local Lowe's. They are typically three dollars for six feet or so. Not a bad deal, especially if you are doing a lot of barrels.

Bring a dart with you and see if you can stick it in without too much forcing. I find that my cpvc can sometimes be a tight fit, so I simply twist the dart as I push it in. It slides in nicely and it doesn't risk crushing the foam. I can vouch that CPVC can be used with practically all air guns. The fitting might be too tight, however, for spring/plunger guns that have less air power. I haven't tried modding plunger guns, yet.

I don't don't know what you pay for it. But I always thought CPVC was some of the cheapest modding material out there. I go to this SuperValue store and its 3.97 for a 12ft strip.

Yea I'm sure. It's white, says CPVC on the side. It's a little bit tighter then what I want on my stefans, but right now I only play indoors so I stick with stock.

Pvc is white, not grey (unless it's coduit, but I find the normal stuff to work better) and cpvc is cream colored, usually with a yellow strip. I have had cpvc with no yellow strip, though.

Thanks. May I remind you that I live in Canada, and that we do not have Aces here, and only one out in the middle of nowhere lowes.
Thanks anyway
