I really don't have any replacement springs for my Xbow. I'm wondering, If I throw a bungee on it, where should I reinforce. I did the plunger rod, I am soon to do the spring rest, but where should reinforce for a bungee? The plunger rod grip?

You've been here long enough to know better. The Modification Directory answered your question in second.

The common reinforcements that are needed is the part of the body shell that holds the back of the plunger tube. Whatever spring you use will be pushing against this piece. It's usually reinforced with long screws, or thin metal sheeting, or both.

And the plunger rod itself should your bungees not be pulling directly along the center line of the plunger tube.

This question is also answered in the STICKIED crossbow thread where Groove gives a link to details on the different "levels".

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

Just to double-check, this is essentially the same for all springers, yes?

Some are more robust than others.
