So I recently bought two OU's from xNFx, and they're pretty neat. My personal opinion on them is: they're good for indoor wars, and rushing. They would also be a good backup/side arm, but I would rather just integrate something into one. It's neat how you can hold it both ways, but I personally prefer it upsidedown, just because it gives you a little more leverage to cock it (and with the stock spring it's got a good resistance when you cock it. A spring replacement would make it annoying).

Anyways, onto the mod.

Here's the OU.



Flip it over and unscrew the slider.



Now proceed to unscrew the rest of it.

The internals should look like this.

Now for all of you people who (like me) want to know how exactly things work, here's a brief explaination of how the gun cocks/fires/rotates. The slider pushes the metal rod which is attached to the white piece at the top, and when you start to move it back it rotates the top turret (which moves the bottom turret due to their being intertwined) and pushing back the plunger assembly (there is a little plastic wall at the end of the plunger rod). As you continue to pull back the gun continues to cock, until the slider part is moved up due to a groove in the shell. Now that explaination probably sucked so here's some pictures on how the gun fires.







Okay, back to the mod. Take both turrets out.



Now get a drill/dremel with a smallish bit. and begin to cut out the pegs from the turrets. If they don't fall out pop them out with a screwdriver.

Once you've cut all of the pegs out put the turrets back in (it should look exactly the same as the stock internals photo... but whatever).





And screw it back up, now you should be able to shoot stefans!



Here's some pics of the two different positions you can hold it in, but like I said I prefer upsidedown.





Ranges are about the same as stock, maybe a couple feet more. All I can tell you is that they shot 20 feet to my garage door with minimal speed. It looks like this could reach 30 feet max, more with a spring replacement (but, like I said, I think a spring replacement would be annoying). The seal on the plunger head is pretty good, so no problems there. This gun really does look good for extreme close quarters, or an integration (I've got plans for this...).

*applause* I've been waiting for this. Oh, and by the way, this is about (give or take) the size of a Maverick or NF.

Why couldn't you chop off the barrels and replace it with PETG or something? It has a strong spring, It could handle 4 inches.

Then again, If you integrate a beast in there, you'd have 8 shots of auto-rotating mass destruction.

Thank you. Yeah, I probably should have done that. Kinda got carried away . Anyways, I'll just leave them for now since the picture limit doesn't matter. Heh, I actually remember learning how to take clear photos from a post you made a while back.

@NF, it could probably handle maybe three inches of loose fitting barrel material, but the seal is so bad that it can't shoot very well with any sort of tight barrel replacement. I learned that the hard way; It couldn't even shoot out of 2" of 17/32" brass with stock darts. I tried to improve the seal, but that damaged the rotation mech. Good thing I bought two, eh?

Fell free to try, because PETG would probably work. The only thing I can see is it being hard to replace the barrel on the upper turret, because there is the spring and plastic piece that makes the thing rotate in the stock turret. But that wouldn't be too hard anways.

yea i made a mod like this the ar removal for this gun really helps alot
