I wanted to foregrip my ls, but didn't want to spend the money to get a kit for Captinslug (sorry dude). So this is what I came up with.

clik hear

just skip to 5:00 minutes through. the rest is other mods

here's it completed

the complete foregrip

As I said, it's not clean, but it only costed $3.

Do you always wear that exact same under-armour shirt and gloves?

Anyhoo, you probably couldn't use that if you replaced the spring to anything stronger than the stock LS spring, which is quite weak.

What is holding it together besides duct tape?

"Hello random viewers!"
'SHUT UP!'
"..."

rule 1:
The man with the longshot makes the rules.

While I honestly can't help but chuckle at the falsetto, I do admire the functionality and straight-up cost effectiveness. As mentioned in the Youtube comments, an L-corner CPVC piece would probably be better for securing the cocking handle to the shotgun slider bar CPVC. I've got some CPVC things in my basement.. basically 1/2 inch CPVC version of McMaster Carr part 3192T51 that I found at Home Depot in a six-pack for something like 93 cents that would probably work just as well as the glued-on longshot barrel so you could save that for something else. (reinforcing PETG barrels or something?)

Shouldn't this be in mods?

You should replace the spring. I'm guessing you haven't yet because you seem to be able to easily cock it by only pushing on those thin tubes. The Longshot spring is wimpy as ****! It might by the fact that my bro sometimes leaves his LS cocked, but after I removed the lock so I can move the bolt when locked, I felt no difference between uncocked and cocked.

Nice use of CPVC or PVC. I don't remember anyone ever using tubing for the grip like that. Points for originality. If I didn't have access to plastic, I would've probably used wood.

I have super glue, ducktape and hotglue holding it together. I didn't want to put a stronger spring in it because I wanted it to be easy to prime, and yes, I like my clothes.

Ice, would be rather to have something that can to cocked easily, or something that can shoot far?

I'm not sure about you, but I would choose the second option. Even a spring with a load of 25 pounds can help a lot, and it wouldn't be too hard to cock.

You should really argue over PMs instead of on the topic.

Anyways, I hate your voice, I hate the way you talk about your blasters, and I hate you, but thast just my oppinion(I have to admite I have a high voice also). I do like some of your work though, this is probably the cheapest way to do a forgrip unles someone finds a way to make an imaginary one, that actually works.

EDIT:I dont mean to backset moderate, so sorry if it seemed that way.

Well if it makes you feel any better, I hate you too. If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all. I'll take your criticisms, but what ever ok.

I do agree that you did it very cost effectively though.

I must say I like the idea.
The cpvc, the guiding rods and the piece of the broken hornet.
Creative, I just don't know how long that will hold together though.

Do you live some place thats very warm?
I just watched one of the videos where you are standing in your garage talking about the Longshot.
You were wearing the same under armor shirt. I would be freezing!

I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.

Fuck off Keef. This kid's produced 40 videos in the span of a month; the written word is obviously not his strongest medium. I can't fault you for knocking the content of his videos (the whole point of YouTube imdo is that it exists to invite criticism/ruin society) but cut him some slack on his posts. Shit, at least he's learned to utilize the shift key with intermittent success.

That grip is a great utilization of parts already owned by Longshot owners.
(Trying not to sound creepy)
I like your movies and think that you are, achem, (holding inner 6th grader back) achem, articulate.

OFF TOPIC

I was lottery-ing into a elementary school (one of the few good ones in the public schools) and got in 1/4 times (didn't switch in 4th grade) (not worth it).

This was because I am a Jew (not considered a race inside the U.S. but is outside of the U.S.). I am not black. That is why I did not get into a school. Schools have yet to get better by No Every Child Left Behind.

Every Child Left Behind includes:
  • Setting higher standards.
  • Taking away or not giving funding to help teachers help their students get to those standards.
  • Cutting teachers (to compensate for the funding loss) (what the fuck?).

I think anyone still in a public school system is forced to conclude that NCLB is a shitty, shitty, thing, but that isn't what the thread is about.

here are the CPVC mountings i was talking about; they aren't terribly sturdy, but when/if i get a recon I might try a shotgun mod with them anyway.

Not bad, looks okay and if you glued it together with something stronger (or screwed, so you can open up your LS again) I could see it being very effective, reliable, and cost effective.

Anyways, I hate your voice, I hate the way you talk about your blasters, and I hate you,

Okay, honestly, what the hell? Why do.... Just what the fuck. Lets leave it at that.

It's great how interested in nerf you are.

I seriously admire the fact that you post a video nearly everyday.

Also, I wouldn't take ANY advice from the comments at youtube. Most of the commentors are 10 year olds.

If you want any advice on modding take it from here.

The foregrip is pretty cool.

I find this interesting, I used parts from the longshot, and no other but PVC, and I get flames for how it looks, and this guy doesn't. Yeah he has more dedication to nerf than me, but that has nothing to do with how his mods look.

Are you sure you actually read this thread? Absence of expressed disdain does not mean it doesn't exist.

Just to make you happy I think his foregrip looks like shit. But I said the same thing about yours.
I'm not inclined to like anything that's held together by duct tape.

If I expressed how many times I didn't like something in particular that I've seen posted here my post count would be HUGE and people wouldn't be as willing to share.

As I've said before, the goal of this mod was a forgrip made in the cheapest way possible, and that's what I did. I've never been one to care for looks as long as the gun operates the way I want it to, which it does.

Thats pretty cool. I did something like this except I used Plexy glass for the sliders.
I do have one question: How modded is your LS? I just ask because I want to know how the duct tape will hold up with a added spring to it.

All I really did to the internals is take out the air ristrictors and some unneeded pieces as well as adding an o ring.
