Ok, I wasn't the first one to post PICS of a breeched and new barrel CS-6 Recon, That was Chefdave. But I already got my writeup.

Marterials Needed
- CS6 Recon
- Some of OMC's PETG
- Some other smaller size PETG that fit inside of OMC's PETG
- E-tape
- Screwdriver
Optional: Super glue

Here it is Stock:

Heres stock internals:

Thanks to umdlancer for this pic(I take no credit for this pic)

Next you tak out the bolt, and then remove the pin on top:

Again, thanks umdlancer for the pic(I take no credit for this pic)

Then you have to somehow remove the AR's. I used allen keys/wrenches. I shoved it in the back and started to twist so it would grind the back preventing the AR from falling out

Then I used PETG instead of brass like chefdave. I used some size(i forgot which one) PETG to do this:

You could super glue/Epxoy a little of on the outside to give it a better seal, but I didn't mainly because I didn't have any but super glue.

What I did was I found 1 size of PETG and test it if it would go into some of OMC's GREAT PETG. And is was PERFECT fit.

Then I took the other PETG and I wraped E-tape around it so it would fit inside the big orange barrel like thing:

Then in to this thing:

Then you would just put it back together. (See 2nd picture from the top)
This is what mine looked like:

Any Questions? comments? possible flames?
Thanks for OMC for the PETG and for anyone who actually likes this.
Im not soo sure about hte ranges because I jsut finished this and it's like 10 over on the westside. So I'll get back to you on that.

Don't want to shove balls in tight spaces. Trust me, bad idea.

Open-Closed Pics? As in internals? Or of the Slide open and that such? Or the breech?

Would you mind posting a pic of what it looks like before you put it back together? ie - the 2nd pic (internals) with the barrel mod.

Edit: Sorry, I think I am asking the same thing as P.C. III

PS -
This is my first post. I just randomly bought a Recon towards the beginning of January for nostalgic reasons (loved nerf as a kid) and discovered nerf haven. Just tonight removed the AR from my Recon. Did my first mod yesterday when I helped a buddy remove the ARs on his Maverick and decided it was time to actually do something to my Recon. Planning on adding the shoulder stock spring this week and hopefully getting to this mod next weekend. Thanks for having me.

Pretty good. You wouldn't mind using stefans for ammo and putting bands around the "armed" rod would you?

I do use stefens for ammo, but for the rubber band thing, maybe not because I want to do a spring replacement.

Uh uh. There has yet to be found a suitable replacement for the Recon spring.

How about we all rush to beat someone to a write up after they did something first! Doesn't it make you feel special?!?! Being a part of Nerfhaven is sharing, and not being a fool, and by doing something like that, it makes me see another General Cole.

So you can't use the clip now? Waste of a gun, a NF would do better for this job. Where did you buy the PETG?

Oh yeah, that was a "Comment/ Possile flames?".

This is exactly what I did to me first recon, except I used stock dart foam instead of the small PETG and CPVC instead of OMC PETG. Nice work for finding a more durable version of my mod(I give you all credit since you probably havent heard of my mod). Whats the range?

My bad, I meant the breach.

The 12-shot shotgun spring works once cut down.

Why would you single a recon. A higher range can easily be achieved by something like a bbb or even a NF for that matter, and by removing the clip you remove the only good art of the recon, its ROF.

Well, for 1) I didn't single it. Read the post again, I didn't say I singled it. 2) maybe I wasn't soo clear, this is my first realy write-up. I know NerfHaven is about sharing, thats why I'm posting this.
Here's more pics to see if it clears things up:

It's like my LS mod in the Mod/PJ thread.
As for the PETG, The main barel, I got from OMC, and the one that goes inside was from a sample tube from petro packaging I think.

Where did you get your smaller PTEG? OMC's (even though I have 40 something feet lying around) is a bit large for my standard darts.
We should stop calling out/making fun of/pissing GC off. He's actually contributed and is available for trade. He's a better than average member no doubt. Got your back Cole.

Which one? the main barrel, or the PETG that goes into the barrel?
EDIT: Well, my pictures aren't cresizing right now. But I'll try in a little.

Ok, well I found the website where I got the piece of PETG that fits inside of OMC's PETG.
http://www.petropack...m/stocksize.cfm
then it's number is PPS12B
You could just ask for a sample piece.

Petro has shitty PETG, OMC's is way better. The samples are good for anything like this. The thickwall is too small.

Very true keef. Thats why I only get the sample pieces. That and because you have to order a large amount of it oo. Their sizes are always off by a couple of inches or mm.You can only get 3 samples at a time. But yea, I for got which one it was. You could take a crack shot at which one by clicking random ones.

Why do you rarely have anything positive to say Keef? Anyway, I did a similar procedure with CPVC and gained no range, I'm curious about ranges with this one. What did you get?

guess what!!!
u can take the light thingy 4 da recon, take out all the internals, and stick a laser pointer in there.
as long as the lazr pointer has a .5-inch diameter, you an also put .5-inch pvc under the barrel of some guns and stick the laser pointer in there.
just grab some half-inch laser pointers, half-inch pvc, and you're good as far as pinpoint shootin

there, i have now left my mark on the nerfin' world.
you're welcome

Um, you might want to work on your writing skills. I'm pretty sure "u can take the light thingy 4 da recon" isn't correct. Also, use capitalization and avoid aim style spelling.
Oh and the most important thing is to read the Code of Conduct, which you obviously didn't. Sorry if I'm back seat moderating but you won't last long if you keep writing like that.

See that key that reads "Shift"? It does some crazy stuff, you should try it. And this doesn't even belong here really. Either way, this has been discussed a million times before, and really is not that accurate.
