Well it seems as if stage 6 is no more. link.
So that fucks up all the links I made that says "high quality" because I cannot edit half of those posts because of the picture posting limit.

That means all the high quality videos are only on my comp and I need to upload them somewhere else.
Stage 6 recommended I use Veoh so I tired uploading my LnL video. Not only did it take over an hour to upload but it also rejected my video due to copyright issues. Apparently having music that is not yours in the background is too violating of certain copyright laws.

So I could use some suggestions on video hosting websites.

For the record I am already using youtube. I don't need anything else that is low quality so that rules out Photobucket and Google for sure.

Any ideas gentlemen?

I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.

I find that Veoh is one of the best. Not as good as Stage6, of course, but it gets the job done. I watch internet TV on www.surfthechannel.com, and we had a lot of Stage6 links.

Try Veoh- it's the first one I thought of, and the Stage6 people recommend it. (Right-hand side of the page you linked to)

Revver has the file size limit (100mb) that you would only be able to get through Youtube if you applied for and received the Director Account status.
http://www.revver.co...estiny-trailer/

Applying for a Director account through youtube is really easy. Simply go to your "My Account" page and click "Developer Profile" then save the profile. You should have a Director account in a few hours or a few days.

If you have the webspace to host the video files I can show you how to convert them to FLVs and stream them yourself. Only quality limits through this method being your webhost limits on bandwidth and file size.

I thought you were using Dailymotion for awhile? What was wrong with them?

If you want, I can host your files for you. It wouldn't be a site like Stage6 with comments and whatnot, but we could put a link up that redirected to the thread for the mod here for comments.

Wow thanks, I have been looking for a good internet TV website forever. It's so awesome!

I think there is a way to download high quality videos on youtube. I was watching the dunk contest on youtube and was almost like seing it hi-def.

Stage6 is down? Damn. Good Thing I've watched (and downloaded) Season 1 to 3 of Battlestar Galactica before it was closed.

Veoh really isn't as good a replacement, the quality is just as bad as YouTube. Isn't there a better alternative with DivX around?

Youtube

Each video can be up to 10 minutes in length and up to 1GB in size. These videos will be available in My Videos after they have finished processing. It may take 30 minutes or more for extremely large files to appear on your My Videos page.

I am going to try this out and see how it goes. It doesnt matter to me if whether the site takes divx or not. The thing I am pissed about Stage 6 closing is I actually had to buy a divx converter to host them on stage 6.

As long as the the video are high quality I am happy no matter where they are hosted.

If you apply and get a director account your videos won't be limited to 10 minutes.

I already did this. I guess it is taking a few days to change.
I needed to write a reason to apply to this.
My reason was "to post higher quality videos"

Well I just uploaded the high quality Lancer video onto youtube and it still came out looking like shit.

The difference between the 387 Megabyte and the 57 megabyte Lancer video is very very little once uploaded on youtube.

back to square one.

If you don't care about streaming video, I can host the videos on a direct link from my website.

Not sure what you're getting at here - I think you may be using incorrect terminology. If you mean that you think someone can put a high quality vid on YouTube, then it would be an upload, not an download. If you were talking about downloads, which wouldn't make sense contextually, yes, you can download vids from YouTube with the Firefox plugin called DownloadHelper as well as a few others.

six-five-two - No offense, but why would you offer when I've already offered to stream them for him?

Relevant update
If you add &fmt=18 to the end of any youtube video url the playback will be at the original upload quality.
Within reason and assuming is was uploaded at a size larger than 320x240.

Compare this

to this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKan2FTdTd8&fmt=18

Or this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9mMs6juVP4
to this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9mMs6juVP4&fmt=18

Or this

To This

I can't see all that much difference. It does look a lot better, but it's still YouTube.

I recently found this site, Vimeo. It's got (relatively) nice quality, as well as a link for high-quality download for each video.

F'rinstance:

EDIT: ahh shit. Slug beat me to it.
