I have black fbr and I believe it came from Amazon.
Pros:
-Straightens nicely
-Slightly thinner than Frost King.
-Cheap
-Melts quickly (If I remember correctly)
-Seems smoother than Frost King
Cons:
-Soft
-Not durable
-Some stefans deform after a few shots.

Most of the time it is very soft, and if you even squeeze it between your fingers it will permanantely warp. Also, the black foam me and my friends use sucks in summer humidity, literally. You can squeeze it to the size of the pin and it won't come back.

You guys sure it was closed cell backer rod? Squeezing it to the size of a pin doesn't seem possible... the black stuff I was looking at said it compresses up to 50%.
Here's the link in case you wanted another source for black fbr...

Anyway, that FBR is a good deal, but from what everyone is saying only order it if you can't find it locally. Personally I have never seen black FBR, I use light gray for micros and darker gray for megas.
