FA Perceptor not serious. I'm afraid that if I named a Perceptor after FA, nail-tipped stefans would come out of my screen at Doomsayer speeds and impale me as punishment for my insolence.

NHWACA is serious. Even reasonably descriptive "clever" acronyms for homemades strike me as vaguely pretentious. Sort of like the word "tactical". Why does a maglite become a "tactical" light when you duct-tape it to a NF? Maybe we should just go ahead and call it DEATH for Dart-Emitting All-purpose Tactical Hand-weapon, but add a number or two to give it that "authentic" feel. And paint it black, because that means badass.

I call dibs on DEATH-74. I'll send in the trademark papers when it's not 4 AM.

I think I actually had a point when I started, but I forget what it was. Oh, well.

Okay, I think this is kind of awkward. Really, someone hotglues a barrel onto an NF, paints it insanely crappily, and gets to use an awsome name? How about "we" reserve the right to "confiscate" names from guns which are not worthy?

I mean I can always call my gun something that someone else has called it, and if thats a crappily painted NF and mine is a machine from hell then I'm pretty sure mine would be the one referred to when using the name.

That's funny, because I die a little bit inside each time I see a member post some highly modified, elaborately painted new loser accessory that he'll rarely use in a war, and never use well. Guys, if you suck, a new gun won't change that, and neither will a paint job or a name. Binky was always a tongue in cheek name, as was Spoon't ph34r. How they spawned this tradition I cannot fathom. Just go out and fucking nerf.

It's not about what I refer to my gun as. It's about what YOU call it when you are on the receiving end of it. Most of the guns I have gone against are called one of 2 things. "Ow, Fuck, 1, 2, 3....." or "Haha." That second term is usually after I see a dart land 30 feet away from me, or do some other crazy shit after leaving the barrel of an opponent.

I mean... seriously. What was so wrong with the stock names? beyond "Green's *insert actual gun name here*" I see no need for the naming of anything that isn't radically modified.
