So, i did an AT2K mod, and i heard a few stories of goo guages exploding. I wanted to prevent that. All i did was cover it in E-tape and cut down the housing a bit. It hasn't exploded yet.

The plastic gauge containing liquid doesn't explode, it's the rubber disk under that that explodes, if you remove the goo gauge. If you kept the plastic goo gauge with liquid in it there's no risk of it blowing up. If you're talking about the black rubber disk underneath it you should definitely do more than put e-tape on it to make sure it doesn't blow.

If you remove the plastic tube off the gauge, you'll see a rubber disk. That needs to be epoxied/gooped, or it will explode. The clear plastic tube itself will not explode.

ouch i had an A2K and there not really a good gun in my opinion. I pumped mine to much and the black disk exploded, and since then i cant find another A2K. Oh well, i had horrible ranges
lets hope the bad guy gets away.......

Check the directory. 2Ks are awesome. It wouldn't explode if you hadn't removed the top of the gauge.
