Adding onto that, keep in mind that, even if you can, with, say, a longshot, fire three shots in a second, I guarantee you'll have an easier time doing so if the vulcan is automatically advancing the darts so that you don't have to reacquire your target again and again.

It seems like it will be receptive to modding since it doesn't use fly-wheels. The tricky part is if you do a spring replacement, you have to make sure that the motor still has enough torque to pull the plunger back for every shot. If the motor can't handle the pull necessary to cock the gun, it won't work at all. Of course, Nerf will AR the hell out of it, so boring 25 holes in the belt to make it shoot farther will probably be a good first step.

I'd buy it, but I'm a little strapped for cash. Maybe I'll borrow a friend's and mod it.

I am strapped for cash as well, but I will have one of these no matter what. I love huge ROF, belt-fed LMGs and electrically powered stuff, so this is my perfect weapon. If I have to, I will put one of my spare super high torque airsoft gun motors in it. I see big things coming from this gun.

To F_a24: I hope you can do better with these electronics than you did with the lancer lights haha

That is the most fucking ominous thing I've ever read.

And Boo, honestly, WTF did you expect? 3 darts per second is great for a Nerf gun.

Personally, I thought the idea of a flywheel Vulcan was BS from the start, and I'm surprised anyone bought it. Come on, it's not like it's a BuzzBee gun.

Personally, I'm thinking an adapted Angel Breech, maybe, with the inside of the chain bored out and nesting perfectly sized brass in there... that could be killer.

Omega your onto some thing the FA and other great modders (not me) can reinforce the automatic cocking rod to handle a new spring and it will be almost as sought after as the crossbow in 5 years. 10 days.

Actually, I don't in this case. What I do know, is that this thing will be a complicated piece of shit. If (after modded, if that's even possible) it becomes as highly sought after as an xbow, then I will smash my own xbow in public.

I would gladly trade my crossbows for a vulcan that shoots 80'. You can't beat a gun that has a high rate of fire and is the coolest looking gun ever made.

I don't think the chain would work on older chain guns. This fires micro darts, the Razorbeast, Roto-trak, and Chainblazer all shoot megas.

It's also not certain that this will fire via a flywheel, SPU-Nerf. It's possible, but I really hope it's not.

I think the concept of this gun sounds great for indoor wars. I'm sure it will be a lot of fun for people playing games like HvZ. As far as for those who Nerf in the outdoors, I doubt it will be of much use.

They are sonic micro darts. Micro and mega refer to the diameter of the dart, not the style. There are sonic mega darts too. Also, please remember to use the shift key and periods, please.

Seriously, to get a decent amount of range you would have to add an actual "good" spring and to fire a "good" spring you would probably have to hook it up to a car battery.

This thread runs in circles. This has been discussed before...Car battery=12V, 6 C batteries=9V. Only 3V difference. Not to mention that the car battery would have too much amperage for a small electric motor to handle.
